Adequate for a place to crash
Close to shopping
I didn't have high expectations when I booked this hotel from reading previous reviews so I was not too surprised in my experience at this hotel. The hotel is not well maintained and the beds were quite worn out but the air conditioner worked well. We drove to the hotel and it was a bit difficult to find . Without a GPS I think it would have been impossible to find using a map. The breakfast was "hearty" with bacon and eggs and coffee which I appreciated more than my wife.

Showing age waiting for a make over!
Good food
Without a GPS we would never have found the place! and only did when I switched to search resturants! Room was clean, and quite, The food was served quickly and enjoyed. BUT! in the morning we had to confirm we had breakfast included, by being asked much much we had paid! refused to say and told her to check account. Refused to supply food for one person, (Two adults and child aged 6 years old) and they even hinted that I would have to apy for extra cup of coffee. (Didn't pay). Sad really have stayed at other 13 coins no problems.

Ok Hotel, not my first choice
Friendly Staff
The hotel is ok, the room is big with AC and all the other little things. Its definatly in need of a remodel, since some of the paper is browning and peeling. I only stayed at this hotel since it was in close to the hotel where my family was staying and couldnt get a reservation there. The staff is nice and friendly and only one person speaks English. I wouldnt recommend this for an extended stay, its pretty far out of the way for anything in Bangkok. It was good enough for one night in a pinch.

Too hard to locate it
Only Large Room
Too hard to locate the hotel, and little taxi driver know it. I spent more on taxi than on room; Poor English service, as its poor breakfast.

My Stay at 13 Coin Hotel in Nonthaburi, Thailand
1. The food is nice and there are usually lunch and dinner crowd. 2. The staff are friendly.
1. No Internet Access, 2. No Hot Water Pot, 3. Far from Bangkok town, 4. A Little bit out of the way, (even some taxi driver dunno where is the hotel - I have to guide them) 5. All staff do not speak English, 6. stayed 3 days house keeper never clean room even once. even the trash are not taken out.
I would say that this is a pleasant Hotel but it is abit out of the way. what i do not like is there is no internet access and the hotel room service terrible. I was there for 3 days they never made the bed even once or take out the trash! i had 8 bottles of empty glass bottle in the room on the table for the last few days! I have not seen any hotel like this before! basic cleaniness have to be there. i ask for Hot water pot they give me 2 bottle of cold water( I want to make coffee) I ask for iron and ironing board they want to sent my clothes to the laundry and will take 2 days to return and cannot confirm what time of return!

There is no attractions nearby
- The breakfast is good and heavy.
- Lack of maintainance. What a shame as anyone could easily tell that this was once a beautiful hotel.
This is not the hotel for tourists as there is no attraction nearby. We were having problem going back to Hotel from Chatuchak market. Stop a few taxi driver but none of them know how to go even with the hotel name card printed in Thai. I called twice to hotel to give direction to Taxi driver and one of them agreed to go by meter and the other asked for 300 baht.

Will definately stay again
Big rooms, great food, good service, location, convenient to airport motorway and Chatuchak markets, excellent price through Agoda
A bit dated,
Booked a room for one night and stayed for three. Reception staff were very happy to oblige. The hotel is a bit dated but has very nice "old world" charm. The restaurant is large with sumptuous furnishings, excellent service and very good food. Entertainment each evening adds to the overall quality package, particularly for a well located, well priced hotel. The location is very handy to shopping malls, Chatuchak markets and the motorway to Suvarnabhumi (about half an hour by car). Give this hotel some consideration if you are looking for convenient, comfortable and well priced accommodation, particularly if you don’t mind some “old world” charm.

Disapointed
easy access to the main shopping center. And the taxi is not hard to find.
smelly,look very old,lack of maintenance.
The moment i arrived at the hotel,i found that the picture shown on the internet much much difference from the actual appearance. The paint of the hotel building faded away fungus growing on it.Some hotels even older than this are much more tidy. This hotel can be a great place to stay only if the cleanliness of the hotel can be upgrade. And the backyard of the hotel look like a junk site.I can even find an iron wire poke out from the carpet in my room that nearly cut my leg.
