Come to rest at coconut grove

Beautiful beach, modern cottages, good food and friendly staff
We had a very pleasant stay. It was very relaxing and because it was monsoon season we almost had the entire beach for ourselves. Staff is very friendly at coconut grove, and they have a great chef, but the kitchen opening hours could be pro longed a bit. Do not go here if you expect that everything will be arranged for you like in a resort. It is simple but very nice for people who want to relax and enjoy the calmness. Putty is that at the time we were there the neighbors started to build a huge resort next to it...

best last minute short vacation ever

1. Room was very clean. 2. The view was from our room was fantastic. 3. Peaceful and relaxing
My stay at 1511 Coconut Grove was great. Will definitely come again the next time i visit Tioman. The place was very peaceful and calm. The people were there were very welcoming and friendly. They attend to us immediately whenever we need help. Our room was like 5 steps away from the beach and we can hear the waves even when the room door is closed. I enjoyed it very much especially at night. The front door has 2 seats whereby you can sit and face the sea directly. Had a fantastic experience here. Thank you!

Fantastic in every way

Location, the staff, food
We were a group of 7. Andy and Luz treated us like family for the 6 nights that we stayed. We loved our stay and were not bothered one little bit by the construction next door. Luz went out of her way to make sure that we had wonderful food very night and she cooked us special dishes each night. The atmosphere was so relaxed....a game of beer pong one night was fun for all guests. We look forward to our next visit.

The noisiest place to stay in Juara.

Owner's wife is lovely, beachfront bungalows.
As of early October there is a massive construction project going on right next door to Coconut Grove (rumors of a 200-room hotel). From 8 am until 6 pm every day you will have to endure the constant racket of bulldozers, forklifts, backhoes, buzz saws and more. No, it’s not their fault, and I do feel badly for them in that regard. But what IS their fault is that they don’t forewarn anyone who has made a reservation about what they’re in for when they stay: not a tranquil paradise, but now the noisiest place to stay on the island. You don’t know about it until you’ve trekked all the way over there from Tekek. What’s worse, they are not willing to make any sort of compensation for the fact that what they’re advertising and what they’re delivering are two completely different experiences. I couldn’t find any other suitable accommodation in Juara for the dates I needed, I agreed to stay on for the five nights I’d booked, but at a discounted rate. Bad business.

We felt we had been badly let down

Friendliness, location and food
We booked this resort for the peace and quiet but what we got was complete opposite. We were not told or warned that there was another resort being constructed right next door. There was a big black barge on the shoreline and two noisy dumper trunks belching out black smoke unloading up and down the beach all day. Also there were two towers at the Coconut Grove resort that were being renovated and the cement mixer started at 8.30am right outside my chalet. The resort offered no concessions or refunds for this this major disruption to our holiday. I felt very let down that there was no mention of this when i booked the resort. Shameful behaviour.

Our Coco Beach Retreat

Friendly Caretakers; Located at a quiet Beach; Very Comfortable Bed & Clean Room
Our stay was a quiet retreat. Walked by the beach each morning to catch the sunrise. Hotel recommended snorkeling on the second day, which we enjoyed immensely (thanks Capt Tommy!). Dinner was alright but we loved the breakfast toast & waffles. The only downside was the cafe opened at certain times only and since we were there during an off-peak season, we had to walk around Kg Juara in search of dinner. There's also the haze which affected the view which would have otherwise been perfect (I suspect). The caretakers were WONDERFUL, helpful & friendly.. if you have a chance, do chat with Andy and let him tell you the stories of Tioman.
