5-star Gem for 3-star price!

You get a whole apartment with a full kitchen, washing machine, and dishwasher, the bathroom has a jacuzzi, and breakfast is simply outstanding!
I only stayed there for the last night of my 2 weeks in Cape Town, because I wanted to be close the airport on my last morning. I wish I has stayed there for the entire two weeks. I felt spoiled!

Five night stay

Good location although having car makes it easy. Good rooms with everything we wanted and helpful staff
We stayed five nights easy to get to from the airport after a long flight with an evening meal available without needing pre- booking . Good breakfast and easy to drive into the tourist sites of Cape Town and surrounds. We stayed in the house opposite ( actually 56 ) as they also own this property. Security gates but always felt a safe area and environment with a small mall 10 minutes walk away or two minutes by car but closes fairly early in the evening . Very helpful staff . Small pool but clean and refreshing after a days sightseeing . Would book again ... We actually were going to for our last couple of nights in Caoe town which we did not book before travelling but they were full! You can get a taxi into town but for this location a car is convenient as no obvious public transport.. Parking not a problem as long as you can use forward and reverse gears!

Great stay

Room very comfortable, staff very good and great breakfast
Great stay - Room very comfortable, staff very good and great breakfast. Rooms are very close to each other, pool area and parking area, so privacy is not ideal. Also, amenities in room were not up to standard - no body lotion provided - strange for 4 star accredited accomodation. Otherwise, perfect for a short stay in Cape Town.

Just what we wanted

Great location, Great breakfast and Great customer service
We really enjoyed out stay. The breakfasts were awesome. Great way to fill yourself up before a days activities. We arrived at midnight and the owner opened up for us. I called ahead to find out if we were to park on the street or not but they had enough secure parking in their lot. It is basically an older house that you are staying in. The living room and dining room have been turned into a restaurant. The bedroom we stayed in was spacious. It wasn't the cleanest hotel/ bed and breakfast we have stayed at. They could improve on this aspect. My wife was hoping to have a bath but the tub had a layer of grime on the bottom and some pubic hair so that wasn't going to happen. Also the room wasn't exactly as the pictures showed on the website but has more of a classic victorian style. Had TV and the internet was quite fast. Free wifi in South Africa isn't common since they pay for bandwidth used normally unlike north america. Keep in mind that you will be best off to get a rental car with GPS if you are staying here because you are in a suburb of Capetown. Otherwise you will be wasting away your time waiting for transit. We went North of the city to Langebaan for lunch 1.5hrs away and all the way south to Cape Point and to Signal Hill and V+A Waterfront. We only had 2 days otherwise we would have hit the wineries too. This location was awesome because we could get to and from the Hotel without being stuck in city traffic and it was nice and quiet. It is also close to a mall just north on Forest Dr where we could get groceries and snacks for the day and some decent restaurants. We rented our car from agodas car rental arm and we got a wicked deal way better than we could get directly from Avis. We had no problems with the rental. It was nice too since we were only 15minutes away from the airport we could quickly get to the hotel and back and not waste time. Also you don't have to pay for parking.
