Avoid if possible
We booked a double-bed private room in this hostel due to the good price for Singapore, not expecting much and happy to deal with hostel facilities for one night. However, the entire hostel was very dark, damp, and mildewed, with weird stains all over the carpet and roof. The bathrooms were absolutely atrocious, only one functioning women's shower at the time, with clumps of hair and rubbish on the floor of it. We couldn't wait to leave! Although it is cheap by Singapore standards it was absolutely not worth it.

Rude and unfriendly staff
never ever again. ....Location is nice but there are so many another better hostels nearby. Additional fee for paying with creditcard (5%) and staff asked guest to go to ATM at 12:00. Payment need to be done after checking. Very rude staff ever.

Dirty and Cramped room
Room was dirty and dusty. Ceiling and walls were quite old, with no upkeep. Only good thing was the location in Chinatown. But there are so many other hostels around which are much better.

Value for Money at a Great Location
Center of Chinatown, almost in the middle of everywhere in Singapore. Conveniently located next to a train station and easily accessible to a variety of food. I've been staying here numerous times whenever I'm in Singapore. Probably it was just my luck, but on my first night; bed bugs! First encounter of bed bugs after staying here for many times. Staff was very helpful indeed to have switched me to another room for the next few nights after I raised my concern about it. Other than that, it was a pleasant stay, nevertheless.

Facilities and cleanliness need to improve
Some staff is friendly and helpful and some is not. No consistency in service as well as cleanliness.
