the location, staff and value for money
We really enjoyed our stay here..the staff were really friendly and the location was fantastic. Very close to the lake and perfect for trying authetic street food.. the hotel was great value for money and not on a touristy street.. we loved hanging out on the balcony, people watching especially in the early morning where locals gathered to trade food and goods...a door on the batheroom would have made this place perfect but was easy to work around...

Stylish place but staff not very attentive

Good location and attractive decor.
A tranquil place to stay but seemed understaffed (we visited over a national holiday). When we arrived we had to wait 20 mins before anyone emerged to man the reception. Similarly, the next morning nobody was available or attending to breakfast until a bleary-eyed young man was woken up by the telephone ringing shortly after 7am. Once awake he did sort some food out quickly but it wasn't the level of service I expect from a mid-range hotel.

Very Disappointed, poor customer service

Great location, looks good from the foyer, thats all i can comment on.
We arrived at 6 on Sixteen after flying from Danang in the South, on arrival we were told that there was a problem with the electric's in the room and that they had no other rooms available. No other explanation or alternatives were given, and the receptionist was just expecting us to leave. it was only when we reminded her that we had already paid for the room did she call the hotel owner to find an alternative hotel. The hotel they found us was about a 10 minute walk from 6 and was not to the same standard as 6. It was only when we explained to her that we had only just arrived in the city did she show us personally to the new hotel The hotel was the Joseph Hotel, the room wasn't very good, the view from the window was of the brick wall of the building next to us with about two feet gap between wall and window. We'd requested one of the balcony rooms in 6 on Sixteen to over look the city streets, so to have nothing but bare brick as a view was extremely disappointing. All in all I was very disappointed by 6 on Sixteen, after research for the perfect boutique hotel to stay in Hanoi and then to be treated this way has left a bitter taste in my mouth. Be warned.

good situation but not worh the money

frendly personel, situation, nice decoration of lobby
there are only 2 types of rooms: without windows or to the street with much trafic noise. I dont stay in rooms without windows and I couldn't sleep in the morning because of noise, worse with jetlag. Bathroom not very good, no hairdryer, no save, no tv in the room I had.I left after 2 days, but had paied for 4.

The staff were great but the room had no window

the staff, the food and the locality
the stay was friendly but the room was dark and cold and had no windows at all. If you went out the door was locked and you felt that you had inconvenienced the staff by waking them up. The decor was wonderful and the food was great.

Beautiful boutique hotel in busy Hanoi

Design, people - staff and travellers, relaxed atmosphere
Amazing hotel, lovely staff, an oasis in a busy city. It's worth requesting a room at the front of the hotel with a view as the others are quite dark. Also bed's pretty solid! But all in all a fabulous find in a city which can feel overwhelming.
