charming stay

kind staff, location, value
great little hotel of approx 10 suites, ran by a stay in family. the staff was very kind, and go out of their way to take care of you. the amenities are basic, but its sufficient and the personal touches are nice. breakfast selection is great. wifi is only available on the common dining area on the third floor, and it works great. air condition works fine. as does hot shower. its also located in a very central part of el nido town, very good proximation to dining options and tour operators, and very close to the port for day tours. I would recommend staying here but shop around with different websites for best rates (i noticed certain websites charged alot more for the same dates)

Cheap. Comfortable. Location

Good aircon, great breakfast buffet, hot shower
Check in was easy. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. There is good air conditioning and a fan in the room. It is on Rizal Street but away from all the street noise. The bathroom was clean and the shower was great. The building is quite secure and there is a safe in the room as well. Breakfast included and they have a large variety of options from sweet to savoury. The restaurant also has a great undisrupted view of the beach. It is also close to Art Cafe and Mezzanine which are 2 great options for lunch or dinner.

Perfect place to remember

Staff, owner and foods are perfect combination.
Room just perfect for our stay. Breakfast to enjoy with and plus the owner and staff who were very friendly and accommodating. It's easy to get around El Nido you don't need to on travel and tour agency to pay extra charge. If you have questions about El Nido you can write me email at

Price error?

Price, location, staff
There was either a mistake or crazy promotion going on as I got this place for less than $5 a night! This is why I rated it a 5 for price, although I think the normal rate for my room was $80. The staff were awesome and the place was really nice - I would say 3 stars, not 2. I only rated the food as three because I didn't have the breakfast either day I was there.

Family of 5 adults

The staff was very helpful and friendly. They were understanding and continued to help.
We were not happy with our stay at A place to remember. I know it is only ranked as a 2 star hotel but since there isn't many higher standard hotels in el nido I decided to give it a try. But it was not nice. We booked 3 rooms and 2 of them were very smelly and AC worked badly. One safe box didn't work either. Staff tried to spray the rooms and we changed one room. It still didn't help. We decided to check out earlier and find a more suitable hotel. This hotel is VERY simple and only for backpackers that just want a place to sleep. If you are a family looking for a nice vacation this is not a good place even if you don't want anything fancy it is very simple. The breakfast area has a nice view but food is not good. Seems like the buffe had been out a long time with flies around so didn't want to eat of it. Big plus to the staff that understood our situation!

It's dirty, the breakfast was terrible, the room nr 8 smell like living in an septic tank, and noisy all the time. Stay out of this place people!

The buffet breakfast, the hospitality of the staff and the location of the hotel
We had a great time in this hotel. Accommodating staff, great buffet breakfast and very kind owners. We will surely go back to this Hotel just in case we will visit again El Nido Palawan.
