Great little budget place

Location, Staff,
Great little place. Staff very good and helpful. Breakfast was a bit of a let down, as wat the aircon and water heater having to be manually re-set if the power went off (El Nido has lots of blackouts)

Don't ruin your vacation in by staying here

Tina the receptionist was very attentive and seemed to be there always
El nido was all booked because of some holiday, otherwise we would have changed hotels despite having paid the whole 6 nights, it was that bad. First, the water smelled like sewage. When we complained they said it is a known problem and they can only add chlorine to make it smell less (!!). It was really bad, showering in that was disgusting. Other than that, the walls are like paper. You literally here everything, even a whisper, outside the room, and the staff starts cleaning and cooking breakfast very very early. There are no windows to the outside, only a tiny one in the bathroom, let alone a balcony like all of the other hotels. It is not on the beach. The WiFi worked for 10 minutes tops the whole 6 nights we were there. Many things were broken or malfunctioning in the room- lights, the safe, the closet was half broken. If the hotel costed 20-30 euros a night, maybe just maybe it would be OK (besides the smell of the water which was ridiculous), but at the price they are charging it is simply criminal. Don't ruin your vacation in one of the most amazing places in the world by staying here.

nice but expensive

the staff, the location, cleanliness
our stay was very nice except when it rained. I think more rain came inside while we were eating than outside. The staff was awesome and the breakfast was ok. The view was awesome and the location was near everything that the small town had to offer. The room was clean and comfortable but had to ask for water and toilet paper a couple of times even after they had cleaned the room but no big deal. I cannot say enough about the staff, they were friendly and always willing to help and give us guidance. Although a little pricy for what you get and we found other places cheaper, i was quite content with the stay.

Over priced inaccurate details

This place is way over priced! The details in their description are incorrect. They don't have a swimming pool, they claim to have wifi but it never worked, they don,t do laundry. I had to ask them fo clean the room and get toilet paper. I read complaints about noise in room 1 because it is located by the front desk. When I arrived I was suppose to be in room 1 so requested a change. They put me in room 4 and they were continuously going into a storage area just outside the room, then I discoverd that staff were using this storage area as a sleeping room. This place is way over priced. I would not pay anymore than $35us

Simple, beachside comfort

Food. Great staff. Location.
Nothig too fancy. My cousins and I loved our stay here! The staff was great and more than friendly. The location was absolutely perfect - right near the water and all the best shops and food. Breakfast buffet was on point! Gotta love garlic fried rice. The private tour they set up for us was amazing! Some of the best food I've had in the Philippines. The only downside I can think of is that we had some trouble with our reservation because they overbooked so i suggest calling and/or emailing them to confirm your reservation. Other than that, I am definitely staying at this hotel again!

A place to forget

Stayed for one night. It's ok but I probably won't stay here again. The room had an off smell. Bathroom door knob was broken and could not shut properly. They have wifi but I was unable to connect while I was there. Network was weak or too slow for anything to load. My room was literally one step from the front desk so I could hear everything going on in the lobby. Staff was not always at the front desk. When I needed to make a phone call to check my next hotel reservation there was no phone to use or they "could only send text, no minutes". Breakfast was disappointing. Too expensive for what you get.
