Nice stay

Rooms, cleanliness lol cation
7.7
Clean rooms, plenty of space. Cafe food overpriced, especially buffett breakfast, very disappointing. Cold croissants obviously taken straight out of wrapping and put on a plate they were cold and soft, i feel if they aren't going to do it well, either don't bother or don't charge $35pp. Scrambled eggs were actually in the baine marie so long they had turned grey inside. Also felt more variation for snack light meals could have been on offer. On the whole it was a great place to stay and location was fab. Loved that it was so clean.

An overnight stay at the Abbey so that we could attend a wedding in local area. Called the hotel twice prior to check in to assess the possibility of early check in (30mins) to ensure enough time was available for wedding attendance for 3pm. Told on both occasions that this would be acceptable and housekeeping would be advised of this client request. Apparently early check-in is not guaranteed and as we encountered it was a late check in some 20 mins after 2pm. repeated line ups (4 in total) After being so well organised in the lead up to the event the unnecessary stress caused by the late check-in was extremely frustrating. Having got the keys we entered the room to find half a clean had been done and the room was ingrained with the smell of cigarette smoke. Due the time constraints no formal complaint was made. I have just recently received a voucher for long service with my current employer for $1200 to spend at the Abbey. At this stage I am thinking I would like to see if the voucher can be refunded so that accommodation can be booked elsewhere. Negatives aside the décor, bathroom and breakfast were still of a good standard. First impressions count for so much though.............

4th time at the Abbey Beach and always enjoy the no hassles stay. Always clean rooms and great outdoor amenities. Like how the balconies are all slightly tilted away from each other so you can see into your neighbor.

Recent stay

Big rooms, very clean, conveniently located to both Busselton and Dunsboroigh

Stay was very comfortable, but for a king spa suite, the bathroom needs modernising - fitting are old fashioned and dated, but the bedroom was large, very clean, and light filled. Was noisy early morning (around 5.30 / 6 am) we were woken by banging and lots of noise, which abated after a few mi Utes but we were then wide awake. Likewise, people standing in hallway talking very loudly for some time after 11pm was annoying, but something outside the hotels control.

Room only

The room itself was good, it had the utensils to be self catered. No free WiFi in the room only in the atrium and only for 30 minutes. If you wanted it in your room you had to pay for it. Couldn't get reception on my mobile phone in room, the only place I could was on balcony. The room we had was close to the kitchen, the first night while the kitchen staff were working they had their music very loud and you could hear it in our room. The radio which is in the room would only pick up one channel. Person behind counter at cafe did not stop talking to her friend and totally ignored useven though my wife and I were standing right in front of her. We eventually saw one of the waitresses who told us to pick a table. We did and saw the menu which was high priced for what was on offer so we didnt stay. Instead we drove to Margaret river for breakfast instead. I wont be staying there again as its outdated and needs a good freshen up, also way too quiet. reminded us of a nursing home.
