Excellent find

It's character, location and room comfort
The hotel is located in Adelaide CBD and provides excellent value for money. Liked its old charm, previously converted from a boys home. Room was very comfortable with all the trimmings. Breakfast had a good selection for continental. Free bus at the end of road gets you around Adelaide's main attractions. Nice Italian Italian restaurant, Bogelli, easy 5 minute walk, plus Chinese. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend hotel for its value.

Hotel slightly above average

Cleanliness, staff helpful, free WiFi
Overall, a reasonably good hotel (but surely not "fantastic") with improvements needed in some areas . Breakfast is not bad, just ordinary with little choice. But the period of breakfast is not at all traveller-friendly.The breakfast period should be at least 6:00 AM to 9:00 AM ( all days), instead of 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM for Monday-Friday and 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM for Saturday/Sunday. I stayed at this Hotel with my wife for 5 nights but I had to miss breakfasts for two days (for tours starting at 6:30 AM or so on a weekday and going to the Airport at 7:30 AM on a Sunday), although included in the Hotel Price. The location of the Hotel is not bad but it is 15/20 mins walk from the main City Centre. The cleaners , although came for cleaning everyday , didn't make up the bed properly (pillows left scattered around in the room)on one occasion and didn't clean the Toilet seat/commode, etc in the Toilet/bathroom. The cleaners' spupervisors should take note of these points. .

Impressed by room size, breakfast was adequate but very limited choices. Hotel location was convenient and easily accessible unfortunately parking could be a problem

lovely hotel to stay in

1) staff were really friendly and helpful. 2) the fact that the hotel has a public kitchen! 3) the cakes during breakfast were lovely!
I've stayed at this hotel with my friend for 2 weeks. Both of us have enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend this place to our friends and families. The location is great - walking distance to everything you'll need. The staff are friendly and the complimentary breakfast was great! Glad to have stayed at this hotel :)
