Fantastic experience. Staff goes above and beyond!

Great breakfast, washer and dryer, comfy beds. But the VERY best thing was Jamre, who helped us with EVERYTHING.
We didn't know when booking this hotel, but it's located in a very Japan-centric neighborhood. Seems like most of the guests were Japanese businessmen. Lots of sushi restaurants nearby and massage places with Japanese names. A guest from Singapore told us he is a frequent guest at Adelphi Grande and assured us that Sukhumvit is a safer area than many because of the Japanese. This seemed to be true, as my girl friend and I discovered we felt safer there than any other place we visited in Bangkok. Arriving back at Adelphi each night felt like arriving home. --Like I said, great breakfast, nice beds. Very clean. DVD player was a nice bonus and we had a fun couple of movie nights after long hot days exploring. And so nice to do our laundry; the machine is very sleek and modern! What really stands out to me, though, was the man Jamre downstairs who was available every morning to help us plan our day. He helped us get to the Tiger Temple for much cheaper than we'd found online, arranged numerous taxis with great drivers to take us sightseeing around town. Told us how to take the subway to JJ Market and advised us on safety and haggling for the best deals. At the end of our stay, we had a very late night plane and he arranged for us to have not only a late checkout, but to leave our bags at the front desk all evening while we killed time getting massages and eating dinner, and THEN to shower at the hotel so we'd be fresh for our red eye flight. Thanks so much to all the friendly staff for the great service. Above and beyond, people, above and beyond. Great hotel that I'd stay at again in a heartbeat.

My home away from Home

quietenss, fully equiment kitchen, friendly staff
I used this hotel when ever I visit Bangkok. Over the years it has proven that they go make effort to maintain the service standard. On this Trip I noted that they have upgrade the speed of the wifi. It is now fast with good connectivity. With the opening of a new shopping mall eating and shopping is even easier.

Quiet place to stay

Breakfast staff; proximity to sky rail.
We used the hotel for one night before moving on to Phuket. While the hotel is rather run down and needs a facelift, it represented good value for money, when compared with similar hotels in area. If you are a non-smoker make sure you request a non-smoking room.

Ok location but jaded building and decor

Location, pool, spacious room
disappointed with building and decor, in comparison with comparable hotels in area. Check in in the evening was also slow. I thought it unfair that a trainee was responsible for checking guests in on his own.o

Adelphi Grande - The best place to be

1. The friendliness and support from staff; 2. The support with tuktuk to the main road; 3. Flexibility of staff and understanding in managing customer preferences
It was real fantastic the atmosphere and the overall environment is one of the best and the staff they were friendly and ready to help anytime whenever I needed support. Rooms and restaurant are all great

Home away from Home

service, room faculites, location
I had been using this hotel for the past 5 years. Even ever I am in bangkok. This is the only hotel I will book. Main reason- the hotel is a true service apartment: full kitchen utensils, washing machine, micro ware and refrigerator. Bangkok is hot and humid, therefore we need to change out clothing every day. The washing machine with spin dry, save us a lot of money. Location: As the hotel is located in a soi, they have a tuk tuk to bring us to the main road, and the BTS is only 3 min walk away. Breakfast-wide variety. Friendly reception-- however English is poor, however if we speak slowly, it is ok. This is Thailand and English is not their mother tongue therefore communication will not be so smooth.

Pleasurable stay in Adelphi

food, staff, facilities
My 5 days in Adelphi was very comfortable - spacious room with kitchenette, very friendly and helpful staff (kids friendly), and reasonably equipped gym and pool. Hotel is located a bit off the main road, but still walking distance to public transport, mall, and supermarket.
