Originally I have booked this hotel. Since there was some repair work done during my check-in , they have allotted me to some other hotel.
Originally I have booked this hotel. Since there was some repair work done during my check-in , they have allotted me to some other hotel group hotel. The hotel which they allotted to me was located in the outskirts of Alexandria - in a private resort. I , again , took a taxi , to reach the hotel - which incurred an extra expenditure ( around 50 EGP). Besides this, for every visit to downtown from this remote location of the hotel , I spent huge money daily.
Hotel Feature Tip : Be careful- if the hotel authorities are trying to allot your room - in different hotel ( from their group of hotels) - & assigning one or other reason for the change of hotel.

I think the hotel should be remodeled.\nMy first room had some problem. Water drops from air-condition.\nSecond room was big. \nHighlight of this hotel is the restaurant. \nAt the restaurant which is the top of thehotel, the view is fantastic.

- Great location.
- Roof terrace.
- Beautiful building.
- Excellent breakfast.
- Poor service.
- Bad maintenance of the rooms.
- Expensive for the provided quality.
Although great location of the hotel, excellent breakfast and beautiful building, our stay in the Windsor Palace hotel was not as pleasant as expected for the following reasons:
- personnel is not friendly nor reliable
- state of the room and bathroom is bad (ceiling of the bathroom fell on my head!!)
- poor management of the hotel and personnel
Restaurant Tip : Chinese restaurant on the roof terrace of the Sofitel-Cecil hotel.
