Every time an Agoda customer checks out of a hotel we send them an email asking them to write a review of their stay. This is the only way reviews can be submitted. Every review must then be approved by our content team before being posted on the Agoda website. Therefore, unlike many other travel sites, ALL Agoda reviews are certified and genuine.

Communication: hotel staff informed that they would contact me for tour, however, I had to go to reception to check the status after one hour.

Beautifully located Hotel along the Nile
Centrally located in Aswan, and yet absolutely on the Nile
7.7
Though we had a very short stay of only one night, which too was cut short due to the fact that we had to leave early morning (3.30am) to visit Abu Simble, we enjoyed out stay here. The hotel staff was very courteous, polite and friendly.
The hotel is located centrally with the local market, banks and money exchange centers very nearby.
We were very lucky to get a good guide, who apart from taking us to the regular sites viz. High Dam and Philae Temple, also took us to the Nubian village, which was quite exciting to see how the traditions and the way of living of the olden days were still followed in the village.
I will not hesitate to recommend this hotel to other travelers.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Apart from visiting the regular sites viz. High Dam and Philae Temple, please also visit the Nubian village. The trip to the village from Isis Hotel itself was very exciting. We had to go on a motor boat, and the boatman had to skillfully maneuver the boat thru' a raging Nile. You will enjoy to walk thru' the crime free village, where the doors to houses and shops are always open even at night when all are asleep.
Please contact me at rajanpatil@vsnl.com in case anyone needs reference to our great guide Ahmed.

Terrible stay, unfriendly env
4.3
I arrived early at like 7am but they insisted the checkin time to be at 2!!! Come on! B flexible - it wasn't peak season, man! On top, I sent a cfm mail just to make sure. Though its my fault - little did I know there were few pyramisa Isis around Aswan! Gosh ....the person at another Isis replied and acknowledged about my reservation & early check-in! Anyhow - that 2 impolite hotel staff really made me almost cry as they had really bad attitude, imagining - I would b taking hours ride to Abel simbel, not having my luggage tucked in, nor brushed my teeth a little really agitated me beyond words!!!! Then, when I went into the room, there were shabby - no towels, no lock, a safety box that couldn't work!
Travel tip:
People are more pushy there so if you are single, just stay away from dark lanes

Wonderful River View of the Nile
7.3
All rooms might have a river view and we can enjoy the sunrise
or sunset from our room.
Even though the hotel is located in an island but they serves
a frequent boat service.
The breakfast is a normal buffet. Not so special. Good enough.

The hotel is well situated, the room est large and comfortable. The breakfast is plentiful. Too bad that the hotel was nearly empty, Egypt is not a popular destination, too bad, nice to visit because no people. I recommend this hotel
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
the hotel will offer tours, but take a taxi for 50 Le you can visit almost everything in Aswan.

Pretty good location - be careful with the name
5.3
There is another hotel with a similar name that requires a little ferry ride to it. NOT this hotel.Be wary though, some of the taxi drivers are unscrupulous :( WIFI in lobby. The rooms were OK, however; drainage in bathroom was dodgy and flooded after first short shower. Large double windows looking at the Nile did not lock. Neither of them. Finally was given a stick to wedge one of the windows closed.Had to repeatedly ask for towels after room was cleaned. Level of service was very low in most aspects of the hotel. Breakfast was fine. Pool was OK and appreciated at the end of a hot days.
Shopping Tip:
Visit the bazarr opposite hotel

Top spot in town!
Right in the centre of Aswan and right on the Nile!
7.7
Sadly, we were placed in a fairly average room without a Nile view, but that was the only down side. The staff were delightful, the views from the poolside and dining room excellent and the location (right opposite an entrance to the markets) was terrific. All up, we were very pleased with our experience.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Abu Simbal is almost three hours away and you have to get up pretty early in the morning to be part of an armed convoy (buses, mini buses or private cars)to travel there. But it's completely worth it! We arrived at 7:00 in the morning and were swept away by the beauty of the temples and the magnitiude of the rescue job that saved them from the waters of Nasser dam. Awesome!
