Every time an Agoda customer checks out of a hotel we send them an email asking them to write a review of their stay. This is the only way reviews can be submitted. Every review must then be approved by our content team before being posted on the Agoda website. Therefore, unlike many other travel sites, ALL Agoda reviews are certified and genuine.

One of the best hotels in town near the city center of Alexandria. Also there is free parking if you come by car.
wifi internet is free in the room.
For breakfast there is a lot of choice.

Nice hotel, nice area
Comfortable and clean, the hotel is typically five-star, and typically Egyptian: friendly and accommodating. Very good system for storing baggage.

Situated on the edge of Ard El Golf in Heliopolis, which is a charming neighborhood to walk round in, very Cairene, but at the same time upscale, with many grand old villas – some of them spectacularly renovated. Across the busy facing street of al Ouroba begins the heart of the old neighborhood of Heliopolis, one of the nicest in Cairo. (Trivia note: the hotel is facing the villa once owned by Yasser Arafat on Orouba St.) A very short walk or taxi ride away is Midan Korba (where one of the presidential palaces is located), and Midan Roxy, the two main squares of central Heliopolis. The neighborhood is far from the center of town, but if you want a nice hotel in a lovely residential Cairene neighborhood near, but not right next to the airport, this one is for you.
Hotel Feature Tip:
Helioplois is my favorite Cairo neighborhood.
I selected the excellent category for food, not because I ate there this trip, but I have eaten in the Marco Polo restaurant before and had coffee in the Lobby. The restaurant is very fancy, with very good food and service.

Would not rate it a five-star hotel
Good food served in room.
Close to airport.
5.3
This is a nice hotel except that it does not seem to deserve five stars. Being there for a business trip I had meetings in the nearby hotel which seem far better but only rated 4 stars. At Le Meridien staff is begging for tips at all times, even when it should be included already in the bill (like for in-room service, as written on their own documentation). Staff English is sometimes hard to understand. Paper documentation does not agree with staff directions like for in room safes. My room had a rusty and old bathtub, and the cleanliness was good but not excellent as expected from a five stars hotel. No one there, including at check-out, seemed interested to know if everything was ok, just asking why I did not use the mini bar (whose prices are without limits, where content is poor, and not corresponding to the list). So in short you can have a good stay but do not expect services up to par with an international 5 stars hotel.
