Was an old palace, good sized room

Can be noisy-outside traffic

We stayed three nights in Om Kolthoom Hotel and felt it was reasonable value for money. The staff are helpful, room was roomy. Breakfast was okay-nothing to rave about. We had a tour guide(just as well as driving is a nightmare) so cant comment on location. It was a little noisy with outside traffic beeping their horns

Good location Friendly staff Good value for money

Overall the hotel is a little dated, but this almost always seems the case in Egypt, unless you are staying at a internationally known 5 star hotel.

Our stay was very pleasant and our room overlooked the Nile. My friends loved the hotel, although we thought it was a bit outdated. However, it has an old-world charm that almost takes you back in time. Our rooms were spacious and the staff were friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay here again if we return to Cairo on another trip.

Hotel Feature Tip : Great views over the Nile.

bathroom is very nice.

This hotel is very far from subway station.

This hotel is very reasonable hotel. Most of three stars hotels in Egypt, we cannot use unit bus, but we can use bus at this hotel. And the workers at this hotel is very kind and friendly. But this hotel is very far from subway station. We must use taxi every time, when we use subway.

Good location, nice room, cheap, and plenty of cafés on the ground floor

Room on the road side are probably noisy

Good buy for travellers that are not easily disturbed by traffic.

Nightlife Tip : Walk some 1500 meters North until the end of Semalek island, and you find a very trendy café / restautrant

Got a great place, in part, pleasant staff

Poor information, no brochures or information on how things work or apply. Normally, finsn a number of leaflets on tourist attractions from different companies that offer. There is none. With poor English. The hotel offered the trip to the pyramids, etc., but the information was inadequate and that there seems to be a network between them and others involved, aiming to make money. The phone does not work so that you yourself are calling abroad. No info on the Internet "in the hotel and it is only in the lobby.

I will never set foot in Cairo or in Egypt. I was constantly cheated out of money by the hotel's police guards, taxi drivers and others who just want money. It could not be at peace and was constantly courted by those who wanted somehow to milk you for money. The hotel itself was good but the most attentive to them was that there was a single info.blad about something, either about the hotel facilities or advertising from companies offering various excursions, etc.. English was si o so and there was a misunderstanding that they do not inform quite well. There were extra costs for me when I grabbed the 2 offer of pyramids and Båtbuffen. Worst of the people is that they are not thinking long term, but just remember to grab it. They do not think that I as a person is a ambassdör who will recommend or discourage people to go to the country based on my experiences. It's a dirty with the bad culture and moral country.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Go by yourself or with a group bus to the pyramids. City Star is the best shopping place but it is more expensive than the price which Sweden !!!!!!!!!!

The hotel entrance is very afternoon, bearing in mind that the flight arrived in the morning ...

It is a hotel that meets your name 4 stars, very good accommodation for a comfortable price. I recommend it, the front is the Nile River, around restaurants, internet cafe, supermarket 24 hours ...

Travel tip : It is a good place, many things on hand.
