Very clean, friendly and efficient staff
Didn't have any downsides that stood out to us, oh yeah bad thing was expensive internet in the business centre about $10 US for 30 minutes should be like $1 US for 1 hour at a local egyptian internet cafe.
Had stayed at two other 5 star hotels in Cairo and Giza Pyramids and i would rate this as the best of the them. Le Meridian Pyramids and Safir were the other 2 hotels. Checking in was great and they gave us an early checkin and room upgrade as we arrived early from the airport. We had our tour to Alexandria starting from here the next day and all went smoothly between Kumuka and the hotel.
Shopping Tip : if you see something you like at Aswan shopping buy it as we didn't find as good gifts pyramids etc back in cairo.

Very pleasant hotel. Location is good for sightseeing.
A bit too much attempts to help (for baksheesh, of course).
This is a quite upscale hotel situated near the Nile. The hotel staff are very attentive. There is a Metro stop nearby and riding Cairo Metro is a fun experience. The staff try a bit too hard to please, perhaps, and always expect a tip in return. That got a little tiring to us.

Cost - far,far cheaper than any of the Western chains and not compromised by location - just across road from Sheraton
Common areas are good - lively feel, decent bar and restaurant
Rooms are spacious and clean enough - not western 5 star standard though
No mini bar or even mineral water in room
"Entertainment" in main bar is just far too loud!
Concierge/taxi desk can be a touch surly
As a good, value for money alternative to the big chain 5 star hotels, the Pyramisa fits the bill well. It feels Egyptian (which of course it is) as opposed to the carbon copy most of the chains are regardless of geography. Rooms are very spacious and the beds comfortable. Bathrooms are tired but nevertheless clean and functional. Well positioned for the business district and taxis and car service readily available. The real key here is what you get for your money - alot in comparison with a Hilton or Sheraton, esp. if on business when time in the hotel anyway is limited.

The rooms and a good size. Its a good location for tourists. The food in the hotel is of a good standard.
The staff in the hotel are always after money/tips. Satellite TV was limited and only a few English channels
I enjoyed my stay at the hotel however there was quite a big difference in standards between the Sheraton Hotel next door and the Pyramisa, there is also a big difference in price. I believe you get what you pay for so overall we were happy for what we received.
The rooms were big and the beds were comfortable, there was no mini bar in the room however there was a safe, overall i was happy with my stay at this hotel and would not have any problems going back there again.
Britisn National.
Travel tip : The casino is not so good but the Sheraton across the road is nice and you can get access just dont forget to take your passport to get it.

Conference rooms of the hotel are good, the services of dinning room are also good.
Assigning of room to guest is bad, room service is bad, taxi service of the hotel is very expensive.
We had an international conference in this hotel for 3 days during the the new year eve of December 2008. The conference rooms and all of the service regarding of the conference facilities are good and up to standard. But the room assignment to guest is very bad. They tried to give us the poor condition room that windows were blocked by the roof. So we can not see anything from outside. We try to change the room, but the reception had a very bad service and we had to wait for another day befor we can get another room that just a litle bit better. The taxi service was right a cheating to the hotel guest with a very expensive charge. They also did not provide any of the city map for their guest, and expected us to take only their taxi services. Room service was also very bad. There was no drinking water provide in the room. We had to buy the drinking water with a very high price (10 time more than the outside price). For conclusion, I don't want to go back to this hotel any more. Once is more than enought.

too expensive and not clean surrounding environment.
Room of Pyramisa Suites Hotel & Casino is quite nice. Its breakfast is also delicious. However, charge of Internet is very expensive and TV is limited. Problem os "safe" may be considered in Pyramisa Suites Hotel & Casino. Many "five star" service should be improved. It is included local tour service, Internet call, shopping, taxi car service and so on.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Pyramid.

Good location. Clean & large rooms. Friendly and helpful hotel staff
Front desk staff inattentive and not friendly.
Hotel management makes up rules as they go along
Be very much aware of hotel front desk making up rules that do not exist. When I checked in every thing was fine. Moved into my room, then, received a call from the front desk inquiring about my nationality. Minutes later, received another call from the same person from front desk claiming that since my nationality is not Thai, therefore there will be an additional charge of US $70 per night. I argued and said that this is illegal and Agoda is an international organisation that I have used in many countries and I have not heard about this rule anywhere, the lady insisted and I disagreed. Then she said she will inform her manager. This was the end of their attempt to enforce their illegal rule, and they back off.
The breakfast is of good standard, and the service is good. Staff are friendly and helpful.
Piano bar is a nice place to enjoy and relax after a day's work.
Hotel lobby can be a little noisy in the evening with music from the Arabic coffee shop in the mezzanine floor.

Spacious room, courteous service and value for money if booked through Agoda.
Pyramisa Suites Hotel & Casino at Cairo is in an excellent location easily accessible to the major attractions like the Pyramids, Musuem, Dinner Cruises etc. The rooms are well decorated and spacious. The breakfast has lot of variety and after a long day you have excellent venues like the Disco, Casino & Bar where one can unwind. Overall excellent hotel to stay when in Cairo.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Do not miss the excellent dinner cruises with belly and local Egyptian dances.

House keeping performance was terrible, he directly entered the room without knocking, also for some reason the minibar didn't have any mineral water and I asked for it, he directly takes empty bottle to fill the water from the tap instead of getting a new one! What the poor performance!!!!

good attention from the point of view of reception, breakfast .... right staff, varied and even copious properly clean room, cw ......
as always in Egypt noise, changed our room because of this (without any problem) but visited two rooms to find the right one. Air conditioning Safe in room, at a minimum. I guess if it's a time where it's hot ... When turning off the air, water fell Day 3 in the cw, we had to leave when we were going eencendido.
pleasant and smooth metro line to move this way if you want this close, although taxis in Cairo are very cheap but you should always discuss the price and when these 8 full days comes a time when you get tired of so much discussion. Taxis outside the hotel are always somewhat more expensive, but if you can reach a good agreement with one life will be much easier.
Restaurant Tip : At the edge of the Nile in good restaurants outside the hotel opposite the island of Roda.
