Low standard budget accommodation

Rasonable reception and dining area, reasonable room size
3.3
Reception staff were pleasant and welcoming, dining room staff were a bit surly. Located at a major intersection, very difficult to explore area on foot due to volume of traffic and driving behaviour (no apparent regard for any kind of road rules. Not much of interest around the immediate area.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: Nothing close by,

okay place to stay, run-down but clean. If on public transport would be ideal Cairo place. 20 egypt pounds to the Egyptian Museum ($4USD). Nearby great take-out sandwhich shop and fruit stands. Internet cafe and wireless (both cost), free breakfast, comfortable bed.
Restaurant Tip: great nearby take-out sandwhich shop

2 weeks at Pharao Egypt

The hotel was alright, friendly and helpfull staff and nice breakfast. We didn´t like the room that we got first and it was no problem to change.

The hotel was alright, friendly and helpfull staff. We didn´t like the room we got the first night but it was no problem to change. Breakfast was good. The cleaning of the room could be better. Why havve a nice menu on the top floor café when all we could get was coffee? But the top floor whith the little swimmingpool is a nice spot. Much noice from the traffic but that is Cairo...

Review of Charles Brown

The hotel offered Wi-fi for business use, the staff was extremely helpful and cordial, the room and restaurant was superb for the price, and it was close to anything that you would like to endure. There was a pool, gymnasium, coffee shop, etc available for use and in good condition.

The hotel offered Wi-fi for business use, the staff was extremely helpful and cordial, the room and restaurant was superb for the price, and it was close to anything that you would like to endure. There was a pool, gymnasium, coffee shop, etc available for use and in good condition. I cannot say anymore about the staff, their courteousy, and their friendliness (from the reservationist, front desk personnel, operator, bellhops, security personnel, and restaurant attendants), they were all outstanding. I would recommend this place to anyone who would ask.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: If you plan on going to the pyramids (which was 15 km away, roughly) take a white cab with the checkered board markings along the upper sides because they have a meter. The trip should cost roughly in the neighborhood of 15-20 EGP. Don't pay a piastre over that. The taxi drivers will attempt to take you to their friends at museums, bazaars, camal jockeys, etc. to entice you to entire to make both of them money....don't fall for this. When you arrive at the pyramids (if I knew now what I discovered then, I would have never went)it was such a disappointing experience because the pyramids are suppose to be one of the seven marvels of the man-made structures but the absolute disgusting camel and horse feces that littered the streets, the people harassing you at every twist and turn, and the people with children harassing you outside the compound was just too much to cope with. The patrons that runs the place along with the people outside that are trying to con you out of more than it is worth to enter to see, what I would call, a complete disappointment to what is suppose to be a grand attraction. That is my take on the place and maybe someone would dispute it but it is the perception that I came away with.

Decent Place to Stay

Decent Place to stay Good Location, close to market and restaurants Good breakfast courteous staff
8
Good decent place to stay with excellent location, good breakfast and courteous staff. Lunch and dinner is better at restaurants closeby. I would recommend it for all cost conscious travellers as well as all business travelers who will get good value for their money spent. Not luxurious but certainly value for money.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: Egyptian Museum is a 10 minute ride by taxi and costs 10 egyptian pounds which is around 2 US Dollars
