I have been to this place first time, and I found this hotel would be safest place to be hangout. Hotel Taxis available always to go anywhere and good supportive staff around.
Restaurant Tip:
Hotel restaurant is good, however anyone can try other places near to this hotel...Lebanese, Indian, Chinese, Thai, African cuisine are available near to this hotel and much closer to safest nighlife pubs.

the staff were all very friendly and helpful. we were upgraded 2 classes, but the room was still rather plain. the free breakfast was good, there was a wide variety of things to eat. the location was good for us ... less than half an hour to the airport. we would stay here again

we were flying into niarobi for an overnighter and wanted somewhere quick to get to. the sarova panafric proved to be excellent. we would have liked to stay longer and will next time around as the service, rooms and breakfast were all more than acceptable

A clean establishment with efficient and friendly staff. The beds were comfortable and the plumbing worked, which is no mean feat in this part of Africa.
Restaurant Tip:
Check (and re-check) the price to be charged for a bottle of wine before ordering it. In fact, get the waiter to write the price down before having the wine opened and served.

Place where hotel is located is good, but needs to be renovated as it is very old and does'nt give you a comfort for your eyes. Service needs to be improved a lot. i would give just 5 points out of 100 for service.
Nightlife Tip:
Be carefully when you roam around in Nairobi, as there are lots of con man and girls awaiting you.

It takes 5miniutes by car from center of Nairobi. Staffs are very helpful and blackfast was not bad. But very noisy... I don't know where that noise come from.
