Absolutely beautiful resort

If you want to go to a place where you can relax and not do much at all then this is where you need to be. We really enjoyed our stay with total privacy and private plunge pool. There were 42 people staying at the resort when we were there and only come across a couple of people at breakfast. Totally awesome. Also they have a lot going on if you want to join in and do it. This has the whole package.
Restaurant Tip:
Food was excellent for the half board included in the package.

The Best Hotel We Stayed at on the Island

we were 'touring' mauritius as individuals and staying at different hotels as we made our way around the island. we pre booked our initial two day stay on the east coast then made our way gradually round the island booking as we travelled.
this was the best hotel of the hotels we stayed at in mauritius. we were greeted warmly by the staff throughout our stay and upon arrival shown to our villa. a very comfortable villa with everything we could possibly need to make our stay relaxing including our own pool and even a jacuzzi 'bed' in the pool. comfortable sun loungers and a covered area to sit outside and enoy a meal were also to be found in the garden. steps led down from the garden onto the beach which was very pleasant to walk along to the bar/restaurant area if you didn't wish to walk along the path at the back of the villa. spectacular waves were present during the night we stayed there, not sure if always like that but the sight and sound of them added to the charm. the hotel was situated in a cove of sorts with soft sand stretching one way and large boulders and a headland in the other direction.
there was a choice of restaurants and the food was excellent. unfortunately we were not there for the weekly 'fish' bbq which takes place on the headland behind where our villa was situated. a shame as that sounded to be a really lovely evening.
we were unable to stay a second night as, sadly, we had pre booked another hotel further round the coast to drop off our hire car. we would definitely recommend shanti maurice to anyone looking for a relaxing break as it is situated in a pretty part of the islands southern coastline with lots of small bays and inlets. the hotel had a lot of charm and warm, friendly staff and you didn't feel you were over run by huge tour groups.

酒店位置比较偏僻，岛的东南部，景点比较少，所以人也比较少。到了酒店，有个黑人姑娘接待我们，因为我们是12点半到的，入住时间是2点，所以一直要我们等到2点，不知道是不是顶级酒店都这样，说不上爱答不理，总之没有其他人那么热情，瘦瘦的，眼睛大大的。别的服务生的态度，你可以感受到，非常热情。酒店的沙滩椅大家都可以坐的，但是有些人素质很低，把自己的东西放那儿，就说椅子是他的，那么多，没必要争，但是会觉得很恶心。如果椅子上有标号就好了，大家对号入座。反正 度都是印度洋。餐厅是这家酒店最好的部分，服务生很热情，菜单是英文，有个叫kris的男服务生，服务很热情，很愿意帮忙，我们很喜欢他。最后结账的时候，都快没人理我们了，可能我们的时间比较短，除了酒店的接待，我觉得哪个部分都是完美的。
Travel tip:
周围啥都没有，酒店就是休闲，啥都有，哪儿都不用去。
