Right across from the Koutoubia Mosque and not far off from the city square, this hotel is both well-located and well-priced. For getting around Marrakech on a budget this hotel is an excellent choice. Without subbing quality for price the Islane offers great rooftop dining boasting excellent pizza, great wait-staff, and a nice outdoor breeze overlooking the area. And if you want to save on taxi fare as well you can get around on foot! Right on Mohammed V St. in a bustling and busy area, lots of shops and things to do are right at your fingertips. Well, well, well... Location!
Almost everything! Seriously, this hotel is a dump.
Well, first of all, when I arrived at the front desk, I give my voucher ... And I wait. 20 minutes later the guy come to me and he said "Ok, now I need the real voucher because I cannot find your reservation" and he look at me like a (...) and he said "You have to go the the cybercafe next to the corner, and print another copy of the voucher to prove me you have a reservation"!
No kidding! So, no choice... I went to the cybercafe and ... So, he gave me a room 2 minutes after I came back from the cybercafe ... Arrived in the room ... and I found a intense smell of (...)- I cannot talk about that here- but it was disgusting...
The bellboy look at me and he said "So sir, do you like the room?".
They gave me another room, just across the street... noise, moisture and smell of (...) ...
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Never pay more than 20Drh for a taxi from the train station (or airport) to the hotel. *Taxi's enjoy the ride when they come back in town. Moreover, the airport is 7km from the center town.
Never pay more than 40Drh from this hotel to the airport, 10 Drh to the train station.*You have to pay more to go to the airport because it's hard for them to find another customer to comeback in town; so they have to wait all the day. That's the reason why it's more expensive.

Good breakfast, nice view from the terrace...
the view from the terrase is wonderful and the receptionist are sympathic and kind. The pudding on the breakfast is delicious and the people who work at the hotel is lovable. People who stayed at this hotel told me that the food of the restaurant was very good but I will not come there. The central position of the hotel is very good to know the city and is good to take the bus to arrive and to go to the airport.
