Really convenient for comfort and not getting lost
Out of the medina, new, apartment type
6.7
We selected Assounfou because: 1º the price vs quality (big room, new, clean)was good; 2º it´s in a pretty safe area of Marrakech, with easy parking, and out of the maze of the old town but 20 min walking distance to the Medina. After a while in Morocco we were looking forward for an affordable acomodation but new, clean and with an easy location to enter the Medina by the different doors in the walls depending on the plan of the day. The point of Marrakech is that the Riads inside the Medina are exotic at first, but pretty unconveniant travelling on a medium budget because installations are old, with small rooms and impossible to reach without a guide. Beside the Medina at night is quite scarry, not dangerouse maybe, but scarry.

Excellent Hotel but the rooms are a bit small
Lovely quiet location with nice restaurants and clothes shops a stones throw away
8.3
definately value for money, the area is clean and quiet and there is a local mcdonalds and other restaurants, in my opinion its better than staying in jam el efna where it is noisy dirty and full of hustlers and beggars bothering you.
but if you like that sort of thing then be my guest hehe
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
This hotel also does excursions for a reasonable price, visit waterfalls to quad bikes and enjoy your holiday.

This place was fantastic value for money! The smallest room is a one bedroom apartment. Although not luxurious in any way( not that you would ever complain at this price) it was very spacious with all the essentials of a home! A small kitchenette with fridge, sink, stovetop and basic utensils was very useful. I extended my stay as the hotel catered to all my needs at such low cost.

this hotel is fantastic value for money! the smallest room is a one bedroom apartment, with separate sitting room and bedroom...also small kitchenette. great for families. certainly there is no level of luxury, but one wouldn't dare complain at this price! the rooms are simple, clean and contain all the essentials. this hotel far exceeded my expectations.

This is a Muslim owned property. If you are from the Western World, it can be different (fine with us though). Air Conditioning turns off automatically in the AM. You must call downstairs to have them turn it back on via a switch at the desk. Somewhat annoying if you want to sleep in. Dogs barking all night long and cats fighting too. Unique and different. House Keeping did a great job! Good coffee in the cafe. Near a Mosque so be prepared to wake up at sunrise for the morning call to prayer via the loud speaker. I liked it personally.
Shopping Tip:
Very close to a small mall with many dining options. While shopping in the Medina be careful. Everybody wants your money and they want cash just for taking their picture. Do not bother going to the "Tannery."

great location, great price, beautiful hotel
free wifi areas, beautiful apartment bedrooms, pool
10
The standard room is a one-bedroom apartments so its really a great price. You can cook if you want in the kitchenette, with refrigerator, cooking utensils and a stove. beautiful lounge with TV. The bedroom is separate and is lovely, cozy, not too sunshiny for those who sleep late. The pool is a plus. Bed is very comfortable. They clean the rooms daily and the room is airconditioned. Free wifi in the lobby and restaurant which works quite fast.
Shopping Tip:
below the hotel is a small shop with things you'd need (food, bottled water, toiletries, bread, cheese, ham, sim cards etc). Great find!

Central location with space and cleanliness
Extra living room, small pool area, cafe below hotel

This was very good value for money. There was ample living space and the balcony was a nice extra. The staff were helpful and the location was good, with many cafes, restaurants and fast food outlets, plus a shopping area local;it was within walking distance of the Medina which was great for exploring the local area in the cool of the evenings. The apartments were clean and although it was basic, it was nice to have the pool area to cool down in after the day's heat.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Walk to the Medina in the old town in the evenings, there are many lovely open fronted cafes to sit and watch the world go by along the route.
