A bit out of the way but worth the walk
comfy beds, en-suite rooms, lovely open atrium with plunge pool and trees. REALLY helpful staff

stayed here for almost a week, and would have been happy to stay longer.
Arranged for an airport pick-up, which was fantastic as it saved waiting at the currency bureau in the airport to change money, easy, quick and not expensive.
decent sized room with double bed, tv, air-con and ensuite bathroom. GORGEOUS general area on ground floor with sofas, tables etc, perfect for relaxing and unwinding from the bustle of the souks.
varied but always good breakfast, juice, coffee/tea, yoghurt and a range of pastries/breads. Good way to set you up for the day.
Only a short walk to the main SQ of the old-town, but ideal if you want to spend your time wandering, and just marvelling at the simultaneously busy and relaxed atmosphere of marakech.

Nice Hotel
Clean rooms, sophisticated satellite system

I was surprised by the amount of beggars who wanted to direct me either back to my hotel, or away from it in the direction of another destination. All these 'services' attracted various amounts of contribution of currency to their pockets, which quickly became irritating and tiring to me.
No pool at the hotel.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Be clear in your own mind what a taxi ride should cost before you get in, and then agree the amount with him before proceeding - otherwise the driver will make the decision for you at the end of your journey and you won't approve of the result..

Quaint Riad in the middle of the Medina
Close to Le Foundouk restaurant that serves International cuisine and wine
5.3
the owner of the riad is helpful in coordinating travel and at least one member of the staff speaks english. however, if you are traveling as a solo female i wouldn't recommend staying in the medina. the medina is one big market and some of the mannerisms to promote selling can be interpreted as a little too aggressive (grabbing/yelling/etc.) if you do stay i recommend hiring a guide to ease the introduction into the culture. the riad is clean and the rooms are quaint. the pool is about the size of a jacuzzi, but it's nice for a nice foot soak. the breakfast provided is simple and always on time. finally this riad doesn't have an alcohol license so if you want a glass of wine with dinner you need to arrange with the staff to purchase ahead of time or head to le foundouk (5 min walk away).

Lovely Hotel and service with a smile
Quiet place, very close to the market area
9.7
Very comfortable rooms in a quiet place. Excellent attention from management and staff personnel.
Please tell them to send somebody to pick you up at the hotel, because it is not easy to find the hotel when arriving.

Smaller hotel located close to the main square.
7.3
The hotel staff were kind enough to pick us up from the airport and drive us to the hotel for a fee of €20. The hotel offered us breakfast which was simple enough. I would recommend people on a lower budget to stay at this hotel as it offers fewer amenities but its an excellent price.
staff were very kind, polite and helpful.
Travel tip:
It is very important to carry around small denominations off Moroccan money. If you have only large denominations it's difficult to get change from the vendor you are negotiating with, of course. they will use that against you- you'll be forced to pay more for your purchase.
So always verify and confirm the taxi fare before getting in. This will help avoid any "misunderstandings" when you have to pay at the end. They never use the Meter.
These 2 tips served me well throughout my 3-4 days in
Marrakesh.

Beautiful Riad in the heart of the Medina
The warm, open welcome received from the staff .... Thank you Mosing ..
9
we arrived in marrakech early morning and a driver from the riad met us at the airport. the labyrinth of tiny streets and alleyways were buzzing with people, sounds, smells and vibrant colour. the riad is located within the maze of turns and archways so mosing met the car and walked us the final leg ... helping with our bags.
the riad is traditionally decorated and our room was exceptionally good value for money, the room was serviced daily and like the rest of the house was clean and well maintained. the small plunge pool was great after soaking up some sun and the roof terrace was magical ... we had breakfast there each morning and it truly was our sanctuary from the full on mayhem of the souks and the square ...
many thanks to mosing and the other staff for you continuing help and friendship during our stay, we look forward to seeing you again on our next visit ...
Hotel Feature Tip:
Book a transfer from the airport ... you will never find the Riad :-)

Buen hotel, aunque lejos del centro
5.3
