Guests at the Ryad Mogador Hotel can expect clean and well-maintained rooms in a well lit and friendly atmosphere for an affordable price. When getting around Marrakech, save the accommodation fare for the Atlas Mountains excursions and the Medina's. That's all possible at the Mogador -also without compromising safety and cleanliness for price. With a fine little breakfast, nice big pool area -and rooms facing it, as well as a great English-speaking reception team you're right on the mark over here. Get fresh towels and bedding every morning, take in the quality advice from the staff, and head out! Also, for your shopping pleasures, the hotel is right on top of a supermarket. How's that for convenience? For cleanliness and price the Mogador is a smart choice.
Children and extra beds:Extra beds are dependent on the room you choose, please check the individual room policy for more details.

Good budget hotel
Lovely staff, cool air conditioned rooms
7.3
The staff were really great and made our stay an enjoyable one. The hotel is pretty central and the rooms clean and comfortable. We were in a room overlooking the bus station, but it was cool and reasonably quiet in the room. The breakfast wasn't that great, so we ended up not having it most days. We ate at the hotel restaurant one night and it was mediocre. Room service food was delicious though. I think the lovely staff are the best thing about the hotel and a big thanks to all for making it so pleasant to be there. The hotel is fine if you're on a budget and if the weather isn't too hot, it's within walking distance of both the old and new cities and of course a hop and a skip from the bus station where you can get the No. 19 to the airport for 20 dirham.
Shopping Tip:
You can exchange your cash for dirhams at the reception desk. The supermarket next door is good for buying Moroccan teapots and tea and other stuff that can end up being hideously expensive elsewhere. The cabs outside the hotel are expensive. Cross the road and walk up a bit and hail a cab. See if you can get them to put the meter on (it's about 7 dirham to the Medina if you are lucky enough to find someone to go on his meter). Otherwise, don't pay more than about 15-20 dhm during the day and 30 at night. You will be quoted anything up to 100 dhm to go to the Old or New City and that's a complete rip off. Don't eat on the Square at night; they charge you whatever they feel like and bring you more than you ordered. We paid 300 dhm for awful food and the family next to us were charged nearly 800 dhm. And you take a chance with potential food poisoning. Argana on the square is great for good value food, both Moroccan and western. Beware of the prices for alcohol, in many cases it is way more than you would pay in London (200dhm for a cocktail, for example and 90 dhm for a bottled beer). Make friends with local people in the Medina, they are lovely. We had dinner at a guy we befriended's house one night and he made the most amazing lamb tagine and was truly hospitable. He also had an amazing apartment and great Arabic music.

Marrakech Ryad Mogador Hotel
Close to Medina and Gueliz area. Adjacent to Main bus terminal.
5.3
Had a great stay. Medina can be a bit daunting. Dont fall for the man who recognises you from the Hotel, tries to help then leads you to a stall/shop to be pestered. Loads of the locals try this ploy! Reccomend a trip to the Atlas Mountains, Berber Village and Waterfalls. The Chesterfield for a pint and nibbles was the oasis of the city!
Shopping Tip:
Barter, Barter, Barter - Walk away then maybe haggle some more. Never pay more than half the original asking price.

Basic hotel
Clean, cheap and location
6.3
This hotel is in a convenient location just accross the street from the bus main station. Cheap but simple, quite clean, a bit loud if your room is on the front facing the main road. Simple buffet breakfast.
