Business travelers United States of America, March 07, 2010	City Lodge Waterfront -- Cape Town Location, breakfast, parking. 8.7 Cape Town is a beautiful city with lots to see, but the heart of the tourist area is the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront. The City Lodge is just a short, easy walk to there, and the price is very reasonable for such a desirable location. The Agoda rate included free breakfast, which was a pleasant surprise -- and the breakfast is good! I would return to this hotel without hesitation.

Solo travelers United Kingdom, December 08, 2008	City Lodge Waterfront, CapeTown friendly staff, basic but comfortable rooms, very convenient (walking distance) for the Waterfront 7.3 The City Lodge broadly gives you what you expect...a bit like a budget airline. It's much cheaper than many CapeTown hotels and its rooms are simple and clean but do not be expecting 24hr room service or fluffy towels! The breakfast is good(if you can there in time....the 9am shut-off is a real problem for tourists as opposed to business visitors) As mentioned above the design of the hotel is mystifying since the view from the sun terrace is unattractive and you miss almost all the afternoon sun anyway! Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: take a motorcycle sidecar ride round the Cape or up to the winelands....great fun and very different

From Cape Town International Airport: Head south and then take the first (1st) right toward Aviation Crescent. Take the first (1st) right toward Aviation Crescent and then continue straight onto Aviation Crescent. At the roundabout, take the first (1st) exit onto Airport Approach Road. Travel for approximately 1.6km and then merge onto Settlers Way/N2 via the ramp to Cape Town. Travel for approximately 11.2km and then merge onto De Waal Drive. Continue onto Nelson Mandela Boulevard. Travel for approximately 5.1km and then turn right onto Coen Steytler Avenue. At the roundabout, take the first (1st) exit onto Dock Road and then go through one (1) roundabout. Travel for approximately 1.6km and then at the roundabout, take the third (3rd) exit and stay on Dock Road. Destination will be on the left.
