Commodore Hotel, Cape Town

The staff of the Commodore were absolutely wonderful. The different shifts were well organized in communicating to each other about issues that may yet need resolution, things like check on flight reservations, or chauffered cars or taxis. The hotel provided us with hotel transportation many times, starting with picking us up at the train station when we came in on the Blue Train from Pretoria. When a driver was not available, the manager of client relations or concierge would drive us. The hotel is close to the wharf and there are many good restaurants and shoppping within walking distance. It is also within walking distance to the aquarium. There are other much more expensive hotels with the same area that we had considered, but are very happy that we stayed here as the hotel is great and reasonably priced, and the staff was the friendliest we have encountered anywhere.

The Commodore is a very comfortable and well-apppointed hotel situated just two minutes away from the lively V&A waterfornt development. The views of Table Mountain are breathtaking and the hotel offers discreet and friendly service. The rooms have all the amenities you would expect and the staff are attentive and welcoming. A great find.

hotel worth recommending for business and for vacation. If you go during the Winter, check if the attractions are open, like table mountain and cape point. Both were closed a couple of days after our arrival. take also something warm, since the winters have very cold evenings.
