Good place to stay although it is about 8 km from the waterfront so you need to get transport there. The hotel does offer a free shuttle service however times are limited but i would recommend hotel.

Nice hotel right on the beach
The sea view was impressive and we enjoyed it a lot even without the full sea view from our balcony. The service at the hotel was very good and friendly. The room was well cleaned every day, and we liked the fresh decoration particularly in the public spaces,

The location on the beach was very nice, although there was not much where to go by foot and the drive to Waterfront took some 20 minutes. The free shuttle service to the Waterfront was, however, very handy and there was room in the shuttle every time we wanted to use it, but it had to be booked in advance and there could have been more time options. The hotel itself met our expectations well - there were four restaurants in the complex to dine at (we'd definitely recommend Wang Thai) and nice pools to hang out at. The breakfast was ok, and we appreciated having it included. For the price we payed I think this hotel experience was very good and we would recommend Lagoon Beach Hotel to other Cape Town visitors as well, particularly those who do not look for a location at the city centre/Waterfront but prefer a little distance and peace instead.
