I would go back again as I enjoyed my stay, the deputy general manager Debbie acted swiftly when I did have a small problem and upgraded my room free of charge[my tv was playing up]. the food is of a very good standard even room service and the breakfast buffet was first class something for everyone,only one moan the tv channels were rubbish no sky or movies on demand, also do not stay on the first two floors as they are yet to be refurbished, the staff are very good and the pool area is great, also only a short taxi ride into the waterfront and shopping malls. the area is safe with a supermarket just around the corner and a fantastic bar that does great food just down the road called la pearla, get a taxi to the chimmeys beach club for drinks and food in a wonderfull setting, if they sort the tv channels out I will be returning next year.

The breakfast is excellent- great variety.
Easy access to any area. Love the fact that you can walk to the beach, shops or even stroll on the promenade.
The pool area is great, but the pool coupons are a pain, especially when you forget them in your room!
Service was good and the staff at the front desk were very efficient.
I had a rental car and the parking was never an issue, I always found a parking on the property.
The gym is disgusting and needs to be upgraded ASAP.

Directions
Directions from Cape Town International Airport:
Take the N2 and follow the signs into Cape Town. When the highway forks, take the right fork which leads onto the Eastern Boulevard. When you get to the intersection at the end of the highway (at the Waterfront), you will see the Cape Town Convention Centre (CTICC) on your left. Cross over those traffic lights and at the next set of traffic lights, turn right. Go straight, following the signs to Sea Point / Camps Bay until you get to a large traffic circle. Cross over the circle and carry on straight, past the Green Point Stadium and Virgin Active Gym & Tennis Club (all on the right hand side). At the next set of traffic lights, go straight and you will enter into Beach Road. Carry right along Beach Road for approximately 3km until you get to a smaller traffic circle. Turn left into Queens Road at the circle and then take the first road right into Alexander Road. The Protea Hotels President is the 2nd hotel on your left.
