Beautiful stay!
seaside location, easy striking distance to Cape Town, lovely view

We stayed 8 nights with our infant son at Sonnekus and wish we had stayed longer. Pat and Mike and their son Nicholas spare no effort in making you comfortable. The house has a wonderful feel to it and strikes a great balance between feeling like home and still giving one the sense of being pampered on holiday. The ocean is literally across the street. Parking was easy. Security was optimal. Food was delicious. Location is great, with a short walk to Kalk Bay for shopping, restaurants, etc., and a stroll along the seaside path to the larger beach at Muizenberg. We made daily excursions to Cape Town and the surrounding areas.
Restaurant Tip:
Dinner at the Annex behind the bookstore in Kalk Bay: wish we had come there sooner, as it was our best meal in Cape Town.

Directions
From Cape Town International Airport to Sonnekus Guest House:
Head southwest and turn left onto Airport Approach Road. Travel for approximately 1.6km and merge onto Settlers Way/N2 via the ramp to Cape Town. Travel for approximately 6.3km and take exit 11 for M17/Jan Smuts –rln. Merge onto Jan Smuts Drive/M17. Travel for approximately 1.1km and turn right onto Klipfontein Road. Travel for approximately 1km and turn left to merge onto M5 towards Muizenberg. Travel for approximately 16.6km and at the roundabout take the third (3rd) exit onto Royal Road. Continue onto Atlantic Road. Turn left onto Main Road and the destination will be on the right hand side.
