Every time an Agoda customer checks out of a hotel we send them an email asking them to write a review of their stay. This is the only way reviews can be submitted. Great hotel but poor location.
Friendly staff, central location and good value for money. However, the hotel is in a noisy area and is not conducive to getting some sleep and there is no room service.

Spacious room
The staff is very friendly, they have a own parking garage and nightlife
8.7
In the weekend very noisy bcos nightlife. We didn't have a problem with that. Spacious room and clean. Close to City Center. Breakfast is ok(standard) but dont expect much. Service from the breakfast was a little poor, could be better.Reception was very helpfull and friendly. Don't book this hotel if you want to relax, but for nightlife just book this one.

Very centrally located on Long Street but loud
Location, Large Room and luxurious bathroom. Friendly Staff
7.3
The stay at Urban Chic hotel was fine but as it is located so centrally on Long Street you have to be aware that the bars and clubs run almost every night until 5am. This likely will mean you won't be able to get to sleep because all the bars and clubs play loud music and the noise in the streets below is enough to keep you awake on its own.
The internet was free but so so slow. The staff were friendly and the free cake and tea in the afternoon is a nice touch but breakfast isn't much to recommend.

Urban Hotel from the Past
5.3
My stay at the hotel was one that I will never forget. The rooms were comfortable but it was vey loud on the street that the hotel was positioned on. It was centrally situated with lots of nightclubs and pubs on the road. Hence it was very loud and noisy and I wasnt able to sleep. The windows in the room were not double glazed or sound proof hence every sound from the street could be heard.

A pleasant surprise
Good service, nice rooms, nicely furnished, in the the center of Cape Town's night life.

The rooms are very nice with nice furniture and a very cool bathroom. It was clean and everything worked. The staff was very helpful.
Each room is different with some smaller than others. The room includes breakfast which was acceptable but a bit limited when staying for more that 3 days and eating the same thing over and over. The rooms to not have a kitchen. They advertise a balcony but they are nothing more than glass doors that open. It was still nice to open to see the street below but nothing to walk out on.
The hotel is located on Long Street which is loud at night (until 2am) and can be unsafe, especially on weekends. It is where all the bars are for tourists. The Bourbon street of Cape Town. But there is security everywhere and Cape Town prides itself on protecting it's visitors. I was very glad that they also had indoor parking. I felt safe enough and the hotel bar there is great for people watching. There's just a lot of pick pockets, beggars hanging around.
I'm a night person so it was a great place to stay.

My stay started off bad,
it was my wedding day & brought my bride to the hotel after our wedding reception. Checked in & went up to the hotel room, where the key to the room was not working & could not get it to work & had my wife sitting on the floor outside the room for anout 20mins.
They never offered any water to drink when we evenually got into the room I had to call down & ask.
Two days later we asked them for a ironing board & ask them to clean the room for we where heading out for the day. But when we came back to our hotel room that night our bed & room was not cleaned yet & our room smelling like coffee when the breakfast we had that morning & we came back at about 11pm, then we have to make up our own bed before we got into it wanting to go to sleep.
Oh & they have no staff on hand at night.
Overall it was very bad experience & will not use this hotel ever again.

Central location but really bad breakfast
Nice rooms, good location
6.3
The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. I can really recommend the hotel as long as you don't plan on having breakfast there, it must have been the worst I had in a very long time if not ever. Almost nothing to choose from, there was no cold meat left, they didn't bring my toast... and the sausage was so gross I couldn't even finish it.
Also, the receptionist on duty was somewhat strange. He asked me for my credit card details in case of any damage in the room. I don't when I started looking like a hooligan but maybe I transformed when I went through their tiny revolving door.
All in all I don't think I'd go back, there are much friendlier places in town.
Nightlife Tip:
Orphanage and Aces & Spades in close proximity, both very nice bars

Awesome location in party area
7.7
This hotel is right in the middle of the party district, walking distance to everything, restaurants, walking street for shopping. etc. A little scary if outside in the middle of the night.

Hotel location is great, nearby lots of nice restaurant, pubs n shops..hotel saff is very friendly n helpful,gt to give credit to all the staffs..
Room is big n nice...wifi is a bit weak but as I bring along my travel Reuter to connect so no problem.
Stay here for 3 night..first 2 night at room 202 n last night at room504..504 room toilet don't have a door so if not very convince especially u go to 'unload yr dirty stuffs' n you can be seen.
Also if u r light sleeper will not recommend this hotel cos especially Thursday-Saturday is very noise case of the bars n Pubs around n noise only end around 6am!
Free parking.
