My third time around at the Balmoral. I just think that calling the room in which I was this time a studio is misleading. It really is simply a small room with adequate, not exceptional, bathroom.

Very comfortable, room was clean, clean bathroom. the staff were very friendly. The view was excellent. service was good at breakfast. the porter was very helpful and always smiling. beach is closeby, easy to take a walk and shop. although the car was safe, they do need to provide for more parking. good value for money

one night stay in comfotable room for one person. good location, accessible to other sights, but don't dwell around on your own after dark.
Travel tip:
Don't take breakfast crossaints/pastries out of the breakfast area!

The hospitality is excellent. The rooms are neat and tidy and the staff welcoming. Breakfast was superior with a wide variety of options. The location is perfect if one want to spend some time at the Durban Beachfront. Unfortunately, the lifts were not working so walking up 2 storeys was not the best.
