It is very much a business hotel. Staff not so fri

Ok stay the problem is inUmhlanga area there aren't so many hotels especially near the beach. There are apartments for rent but over priced and we did not know how to reserve them. The staff was not very friendly and the room was a bit worn down.

Very pleasant, loved the ice machines on every floor, great location and good value for money. Impressed with staff integrity dropped a ring in room and found it placed on table after house keeping cleaned room. So impressive!

Nice hotel but disappointing room allocation

Ocean view rooms are awesome. Sad that an ocean view room was not issued to me on my first night despite requesting it two weeks in advance. I was told that Ocean view rooms are not reserved, however to my amusement, upon requesting at Reception to move me to an ocean view room , I was told that they cannot do so because ocean view rooms have been blocked. Eventually reception managed to move me to an ocean view room. Its sad that preference is given to some guests over others with regards to room allocations and blocking of rooms, when the hotel has a standard rate and gambles on the room that you my received. Certainly, if the reason for booking this hotel in the first place is due to the awesome view , we should be issued such rooms or I would instead book elsewhere.

clean room with excellent service. But less choice for Breakfast and need to pay for car park too. Anyway it's located near to airport, shopping mall and Durban City.

Nice and clean hotel close to the Gateway

Gateway is the best shopping centre (many clothing shops etc)in South Africa and it is only 400 meters away. Five minutes in car to the beach and 15 minutes to downtown Durban. All in all very convinient if you have your own car and you do not mind that your not staying at the beach front. I woukld choose staying in Umhlanga anytime compared to staying in Durban

i would like to query about my bill. i was charged r1456.04 when i made the booking and my credit card was debited for that amount. on departure i was handed a receipt for r1249.96.
