Lovely place, unique to the area.
Great atmosphere and gardens

Also, magnificent breakfast,service,atmosphere,peaceful immediate surrounds.
Highly recommended, especially for city dwellers.
Old world charm at it`s best.
Restaurant Tip:
Try restaurant "Essence "in Franschhoek.
Also," John the fish "on the corner of Blaauklippen rd is fine
for a quick meal time solution.

From Cape Town International Airport to Dornier Homestead:
From Cape Town International Airport head south and then make a slight left toward Michigan Street. Turn left toward Michigan Street and then take the first (1st) right onto Michigan Street. Turn left onto Borcherds Quarry Road and then merges onto N2 via the ramp to Somerset. Travel for 13.8km and then take exit 33 for Baden Powell Drive toward R310/Stellenbosch/Macassar. Turn left onto Baden Powell Drive and then travel for approximately 7.7km. Turn right onto Annandale Road and then proceed for approximately 5.5km. Turn left onto R44 then proceed for approximately 1.9km. Make a U-turn and then proceed for approximately 1.3km. Take the first (1st) left onto Stellenrust Road and then proceed for approximately 3.8km. Turn right and then turn left (Partial restricted usage road).
