Authentic winelands house.
It's history, the quietness and the friendly staff.

We enjoyed our stay in the winelands, however Hawksmoor House was a little isolated. The approach to the house was by a long bumpy road. The house itself is charming but is quite dark with many antiques pieces of furniture. It could probably do with some updating.

Directions
From Cape Town International Airport to Hawksmoor House:
Head southwest and turn left towards Michigan Street. Take the first (1st) right onto Michigan Street then turn left onto Borcheds Quarry Road. Merge onto N2 Road/Settlers Way via the ramp to Somerset. Travel for approximately 3.9km and take exit 22A towards R300/Bellville. Travel for approximately 1.5km and merge onto Kuils River Road/R300. Travel for approximately 14.1km and keep right at the fork and merge onto N1 Road. Travel for approximately 12.6km and take exit 39 for R304 towards Stellenbosch/Klipheuwel. Turn left onto R304, take the second (2nd) left and the destination will be on the right hand side.
