It wasn't a great room, we were travelling as a party of three (myself, my sister and my mother) which made it a little difficult. I felt like we were put in the budget room because we were an odd number and potentially because we booked on Agoda. The hotel surrounds are pretty and the breakfast the next morning was great. It was a cheap place to sleep for the night on our trip from Cape Town to Port Elizabeth, won't be staying there again.

stunning with awesome staff

there are not many cons about this hotel. the hotel and rooms themselves are charming, well-kept, clean, and very lovely. the bathrooms are spacious. the surroundings are breathtaking. from our room and deck we had a fantastic view. because they had just cleaned the carpet in our room and it was summer, there was a prevalent muggy odor made worse by the humidity.
there is free wi-fi in the main lodge, but unfortunately it could not be used in the rooms without purchase. however, there is an office and computer completely for guests' use. there is also a huge patio for mingling over delicious meals and desserts, complete with a billiards table that overlooks the pool. there is a great adjoining bar. they even have a small salon. we used the laundry service multiple times, and are clothes came back in great condition, neatly folded and ironed, within less than a day. the complimentary breakfast is extremely decent and varied, and they will take "hot breakfast" requests to order.
the staff is all wonderful! they are so friendly, we were joking and laughing immediately. we only stayed here three days, but felt at home and comfortable right from the start. they even serviced us a celebratory bottle of champagne to be drunk after doing the bloukrans bridge bungy jump! any questions we had about the surrounding area ("surrounding" in this case meaning towns over 100 km away) could be answered immediately and with perfect accuracy.
it is well worth any price. really, we didn't want to leave this place. i will return again and again!

Hotel was easy to find. Has a country atmosphere with friendly reception. Room (stanndard twin) was adequate with comfortable bed. Some features e.g. kettle with broken lid (but still workable), lack of power points for charging up electrical gagets and somewhat worn bathroom, may have attracted negative comments, but for the price paid, it is good value. Don't forget to check out the restaurant which has surprisingly good
food and the breakfast which is substantial.
