Amixed experience at the Laicos Tunis

This is the third time that I have stayed at the Laicos Tunis in the last year. It is an OK hotel for business but unless you are attending a conference there then there are better hotels in the area.
The whole place is quite tired and needs an overhaul. When stayed on 21-24 October all of the air conditioning was turned off because it was 'late in the year'. It was not an unpleasant stay just not a memorable one either.
Travel tip:
Do not get a room finishing in -15 as the internet does not work there.

The Laico Tunis hotel is located very close to the centre, and makes travel in and around Tunis very easy. The hotel is a 5* but the rooms are not to that standard. They are however very spacious and the higher floors have a nice balcony. The general hotel areas are well maintained and comfortable. The staff were very helpful, and room service excellent. We had one lady who serviced our room every evening who was a delight and nothing was too much trouble. The hotel has a nice swimming pool and terrace area. Good breakfast with a large choice of hot and cold food, we ate at the buffet restaurant one evening and have to say it wasn't very impressive. Overall a very good experience, I would stay here again.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Sidi Bou Said is a short trip away and well worth a visit a taxi cost us less than £10 return.

Everything better than in the past , from the traditional kind people at the main entrance to the room . Superb quality of the breakfast .

This time I didn't have the possibility to visit any restaurant , the wellness center and the swimming pool , so I am not in the position to be complete in my comments ; however , I've had the feeling to in a friendly place with kid people everywhere .
I am planning to be again your guest during the coming summer.

Good hotel unless you need walk distance
Relatively near from airport, friendly staffs, satisfied level of facilities.

Aithough I hesitate to say this hotel as 5-star, which I could have imagined the money I paid, this is a very good hotel with friendly staffs. One disadvantage is distance from closest metro station. Especially in the evening it was difficult to catch a taxi from city center. You can see daily life of tunisian people during the walk though.

O hotel é bem localizado, tem uma boa equipe de atendimento. Gostei bastante da escolha e, caso volte a Tunnis, provavelmente me hospedarei no Laico. Vou, naturalmente recomendar a amigos que queiram visitar a Tunis
