A fantastic stay

The hotel is beautiful, clean and the staff are so helpful and friendly
Our stay at the Ahmedia Guesthouse was great. Perfect location for the creek. I would definately stay there again and recommend it to friends. Loved it!

Not recommended

Close to Spice|Gold Souq
Rather a museum than a hotel. Well cleaned with a nice patio and reception room, picture gallery, and free entrance to 2 related museums. But poor breakfast and too bad experence with the room: strong odour of mold from the bathroom, crumbling walls and the smell of fried onion in the mornings which could not be removed. Constant ventilation working during the night with our AC off was rather disturbing.

Only good thing about this place is its location.

Truly hospitable welcome. Arabian Heritage.

location in a well thought out heritage restoration, truth to the hospitality style of the region and spacious comfort
One of three traditional styles guest houses associated with the Arabian Court Hotel and with access to their spa, the carefully renovated building also houses a small art gallery and is adjacent to a restaurant housed in a related heritage building. The room we had (105) was enormous, beautifully decorated and a complete delight, well located near the spice, scent and gold souks. The warm welcome of the very hospitable and well spoken staff has allayed our concerns over stopping over in the Emirates and we are looking forward to future opportunities to explore from this or the sister heritage guest houses.

good place, good people

the three best things about this hotel, were the character of the place, the location, and the staff
I had a very good stay. The staff were helpful, the room was wonderful, and the hotel and its location gave me a very positive experience of Arabic culture. The hotel is nestled among narrow alleyways between the streets and I liked that, and it is very close - 2 mins walk from the Al Ras metro station, which makes it easy to get to and from the airport and other key destinations in Dubai. I also liked that the guest house was close to the gold souk and the spice souk, and also the Creek, making it easy to get the inexpensive water buses across the river. This is a great guesthouse.

Pit stop in Dubai

Character and location
Pros: halfway decent breakfast, although only two menus on rotation; location; good character and charming buildings; clean; good a/c Cons: Price quoted on agoda was significantly less than I was made to pay upon arrival; staff are useless when it comes to any recommendations for dining or other nearby sights other than the obvious souks; no one ever came to change towels or take out rubbish the entire time I was there; no airport transfers provided and emails I sent before arrival bounced back.
