Double booked and no notification

Our booking was for 2 x 1 bedroom Royal Pool Villas when we arrived we were informed that there had been a computer glitch & our rooms had been double booked & that they would be taking us to another resort,I asked 3 times if the new accommodation would be the same as we had booked & was informed it was the same.On arrival at the new accommodation it was nothing like we had booked, there was no private plunge pool,a communal area right outside our bedroom & this was also the dinning area. After a lot of to & fro they finally got the message that we would not stay & they needed to find us something closer to what we had booked. We were then loaded back into the car for another trip,at this stage they were still trying to find accommodation for us.Arriving at Bali Masari we were informed that this was the only accommodation that they could find & it would be for 3 days & then the original rooms we had booked would be available.Well they did pick us up but again the promised rooms were not available, the rooms supplied were not as booked but by this time we could do nothing aboutit as it was late inthe day.Our room had not been cleaned properly the fridge was dirty, the net around the bed was filthy & smelly there was also no privacy in the plunge pool. my sister & her husbands room was also dirty the air con didn't work, the shower was broken &the water sprayed all over the ceiling. The following morning we booked out with the promise that we would be reimbursed 6 nights accommodation. We are still waiting for this 2 weeks later. The only up side to this was Bali Masari was everything that Alma Puri should have been & we will be going back to stay there.

A stunning resort. Quite far out of ubud but serene and they organised a motorbike for our use during our stay. Pool was divine and the private plunge pools were gorgeous. Staff couldn't do enough for us and were generous with their time and smiles. A beautiful resort I would stay in again.

Beautiful setting, lovely gardens and pool.

The first night of our stay we were able to stay in a villa - loved the outdoor living room.

There was a mix up as we arrived. I had paid for a one bedroom villa but it was not available. Instead of being upfront about this they gave us a basement room that was pretty dark and didn't have the outdoor living area I had booked. After a discussion with the reception I asked for the empty two bedroom villa which they finally agreed to give us for one night and also gave us free lunch and dinner. That was a fair exchange but had to insist on it and bring in the big guns (my husband). It is a beautiful place - NOT correctly noted on Agoda's map at all. Took a long time for our driver to find it.
