Great small boutique hotel

Lovely Balinese style hotel great location friendly staff
Loved our stay at Alum Kul Kul. Peace and quiet amongst the hustle and bustle of Kuta/Legian. The breakfast isn't the best weve had but it's ok. Rooms were clean, lovely pool area. We will stay again.

Retains a balance of local culture

The pleasant attentive staff. The balance of modern convenience with traditional Indonesian atmosphere. The general relaxed ambience.
Most enjoyable stay. There are cheaper very comfortable options but they lack the convenient situation and the relaxed ambience and elements of Balinese culture.

Too early

Staff, location,meals
We were a group staying in the Alam rooms which we found out later will be renovated in November. The rooms all smelt very mouldy and there was a huge mossie problem. The staff did what they could as there was only one room available to change which still smelt mouldy but wasn't as bad as one of our group was having breathing difficulties. The food and location was great. Hope the renos resolve the problems.
