Disappointing house in the middle of no where

There were no best things.

A modern cottage set in the middle of no where. The picture of the cottage did not show the sheds behind. The lounge was large but cold in character. Four bright lights in the ceiling made it feel even colder. Small kitchen even smaller bathroom. Bedrooms adequate.

Not welcome

The area was ok.
2.7
We were visited by the owner, who seemed quite annoyed, immediately after checking who asked for extra money as we had two young children. His behaviour was quite intimidating, and so we handed over cash for the children, even though one of our children had no cot. We left the property at 8am the next morning with the owner following us down the road in his car - giving us the impression that we were distinctly unwelcome. The cottage itself was ok, but overpriced, and the bright "exit" signs coupled with the movement sensor made sleep difficult. The most unrelaxing stay we had in Tasmania unfortunately...

Relaxing stay

Clean, private & stylish

It's a relaxing & quiet break. A lovely place to stay and close to Richmond village with all of it's tourist attractions. It has a barbecue pit but without a full kitchen facilities.

Surprising private cottage

private, clean, stylish
8.7
We were surprised by this lovely freestanding cottage in it's own private space. It has all facilities including a barbecue for a relaxing, quiet break. We were impressed with the thoughtfulness of the owner, finding it inviting and heaters already on when we arrived. A lovely place to stay and close to Richmond village with all of it's tourist attractions.

Quiet peaceful stay

Clean, accessible and undisturbed

Was a little surprised that it is a lone cottage with just 2 rooms. But the serenity of the place took over and I was glad that I chose it as a pit-stop between Launceston and Hobart.
