Not So Good for Solo Travelers

Breakfast is Good, Nearest to the Underground and Heathrow Express Rail, There is a Masjid within 100 meter.
For 1 Day stay it is Ok, More than that is not OK,Wifi is not free, Breakfast given on the different building, I stayed 5 Nights and 6 days, Every day same menu. No Lift on building No 10, Building No 10 no attendants. Sometimes I was tired but I had to go different building to collect my room keys. Its disgusting. This hotel is very good for 1 Day transit. Long time stay will be painful.

Great Location and with simple but nice breakfast

The room is small but the location is good (3mins to the Paddington Station).

handy crash pad

Location, location, location
Excellent location, 2 mins walk from Paddington station. Plenty of bus routes nearby, shops and restaurants, and Hyde Park. Pleasant area to stay. Rooms and décor are a bit tired, but okay, comfortable enough. Breakfast is Continental only, though very good. The main gripe here is it finishes at 0915, even Sunday mornings! If you've been to the theatre the night before and not got to bed 'til late this isn't what you want. Having paid £125 for the night, missing breakfast is not an option. Room checkout is 10.30, not 11.00 as it says on the website. Tube for two to Piccadilly Circus is £9.60, Black Cab is around £12.00, so a no brainer really.

Good value for money

Location, price, breakfast included
Pretty cheap for London standards so I wasn't expecting much. Although it wasn't "much", I was pleasantly surprised at what I was getting for the price I paid for a hotel very close to Paddington Station on a Friday night. Breakfast was also reasonable considering it was included in the price. Overall, very satisfied.

The pictures of the rooms on line are deceiving

Alexandra Hotel
Very disappointing the room was dusty the kettle covered with dust the room smelling of sweat and was not even prepared for someone to come in the bed line dirty phoned the reception and was promised that someone was coming to change nothing was done.spread towels on the bed and slept on top of the bed the whole night instead of enjoying my stay I just regretting the whole night needs a lot of cleaning

if u really have no choice to stay in london......

toilet, toilet, and location
We book last min hotel to stay in london then we saw Alexandra Hotel one of the choice. Its not cheap but not too expansive. Location wise is quite good but the experience is just one time enough. The blanket is smelly. The free breakfast is just okay. The staff not friendly. Doesn't have free wifi.

Nice budget Hotel

The location is perfect since it is located close to both Paddington St. and Lancaster underground. The staff is super friendly and helpfull. The rooms are clean but small.
We where two friends going to London for only 3 days. We chose Alexandra since its location was perfect, and the price was low. The hotel was super easy to find, and the staff was very friendly. The rooms are very small. Ours was a twin-bed room, and there was just about 30 cm. between the bed, but the bathroom has a fine size, and was clean. There are no free wifi in the hotel, but it is not needed since you can just go to the nearest cafe and sit there instead of in the small rooms. Overall a nice hotel, friendly staff and a place we would definitely stay again!

Affordable, good location, no frills.

Great location, great pillows, good sized room provided for family
The Alexandra was perfect for our stay because it was affordable and within 30 mins walk of the US Embassy. The decor is dated but the room was clean. Breakfast was a bit disappointing if you are expecting a full English.

alexandra hotel review

good location, close to Paddington and Hyde Park
Very disappointed to find my room in a top floor annex, only accessible via a very tight staircase. The room was very basic, the en-suite was caravan sized. I was told the breakfast was until 10am however when i arrived at 9.45 the kiychen was shut. All in all i wish i had booked elsewhrte
