Perfect little hideaway

Garden, pool, massage
More than what I was expecting. Outdoor gardens are beautiful. Staff are friendly. Owner was very gracious. Only a 10min max to Alona beach.

Nice, relaxing

The hotel grounds, pool, resturant and the building in stunning for a hotel built in the Philippines
The aircon in the room is in the wrong place the room is L shaped and the bed gets no cool air, maybe that's why they also include a fan in the room which made it better. I really love the detail in the grounds of the hotel and the pool is perfect temperature. The weirdest thing with this hotel though is you get 2 free bottles of water like most hotels but only once in your stay not daily.

Total Relaxation

huge room, amazing place and big pool
this resort is amazing. With helpful staff and lots of things to do inside. Reading, swimming, lying around the pool. They have books that can entertain you. The big minus is have walk around to reach the beach or ride tricycle which is cost P50. For me that's to much of a fare..overall we enjoy staying at this hotel/resort...

Great clean hotel with big rooms

Big rooms, bathrooms are clean and new, facilities look new
Our stay at Alona Northland was great. We stayed there for 4 days and 3 nights. On our first day, we noticed that our room's aircon wasn't working properly, so they transferred us to a new room with no problem. STAFF The staff was very helpful, and their house dog, Coco, liked hanging out in our room. They have a guard on duty at all times, which is great. The staff attended to our needs, and kudos to them for keeping the place clean at all times. LOCATION It's about 7-10 mins. from Alona Beach. There are a lot of restaurants on the way there. The best one we tried was Hidden Alona Restaurant in front of BPI. You can always try riding a tricycle going to the hotel when you're tired from doing a lot of activities during the day. ROOMS We stayed on the first floor, right in front of the pool area, which was nice and convenient. The room is big, and the kitchenette is convenient. The aircon wasn't as cold as we would like, but it was a comfortable kind of cool. It wasn't a deal breaker. The rooms are very clean. The TV was clear and had a lot of good channels. There were many sockets for our gadgets. Wifi reaches our room, but it was stronger outside. BATHROOMS The bathrooms were nice and clean. All of the fixtures looked new. The water coming out of the shower and faucet was strong. They replace towels every 2 days. There was hot water in the shower the entire time we stayed there, although they informed us that if there's "no sun, no hot water", which is standard in Panglao. They supplied us with complementary shampoo and toothpaste sachets everyday and a bar of bioderm soap. FACILITIES Their pool was nice. It tasted kind of odd, but it had a comfortable temperature. It was kind of warm. The jacuzzi was of the same temperature, which was disappointing. You can order drinks from the bar and drink it by the pool. They already have a restaurant open, but we never got to try to eat there. They said they are only open for breakfast and dinner.

Pretty good

Value for money, spacious rooms and very impressive swimming pool
Stay was pretty good but not having water and coffee was a downside. It was very basic and should be provided if they consider themselves as a three start hotel

Brief recharge...

Clean, quiet and private
Very good especially the pool and jacuzzi and the mini-kitchen... It's so different from usual pools... Staff are helpful and efficient as anything we requested and asked were given.

Not suitable for group outing

Room, Pool
POSITIVE: We stayed in a Family Deluxe Room for 3 days and 2 nights. We were impressed by the size of the room. It has a mini kitchen on the side with complete utensils and cooking facilities. We brought along ready-to-cook food so it was perfect! There was also a refrigerator to keep our drinks chilled the whole time. The hot water in the shower works great as well. Their pool is well-maintained and clean. NEGATIVE: We were talking and laughing outside our room (since they have a mini veranda for each room) when the security guard approached us and told us to keep quiet. I mean, we went there to have a good time, didn't we? And for the record, we weren't shouting to the point that we already compromised the comfort of the other guests in the resort. So we were forced to just hang inside our room instead of enjoying the relaxing ambiance outside. I don't recommend this resort if you travel with group of friends. But the MAJOR disappointment is: It was stated in their Rules and Policies that they are NOT responsible for any loss of your personal belongings, yet they entered in our room and did the housekeeping while we were all away! We already refused the housekeeper and told her to clean later because we were about to leave for the beach. So we left and locked our room. We got back 3 hours later and was surprised that the dishes were already clean. Obviously, someone got in to clean it and it's just not right. We checked our valuables and good thing, nothing was missing. But then again, they could have waited for us to come back before they clean it.
