Isolated hotel - no activities at all

New hotel, big rooms, toilet and bath clean
If you want to stay isolated at a hotel with no pool, not even a sun-bed, no activities at all, it's a new nice hotel. You can't rent bikes if you want to go outside the hotel. Prices in restaurant, bar, boat is very overpriced. Noise from construction around the hotel! Glad we only had one night there.

Great Hotel

Quiet location, room quality, great breakfast
Out stay at the Amata Garden Resort Inle was extremely comfortable. We were very happy we chose this resort because it was quiet, clean and a little cheaper than the rest. The breakfast was huge and the dinner menu had fair prices and a beautiful dining atmosphere. What I would recommend is more training for the massage personnel. My husband and I decided to have two hour massages and the staff did not know how to communicate certain things during the massages which made our experience awkward. Also, I don't think that my masseuse was necessarily licensed/trained. Also, the location is far from the main town but so were many other large hotels/resorts. Overall it was a very positive experience.

well placed for visiting lake

one hour from nuyang she town you have on more than 2 jours on boat to visit sankar lake which is ine of the best place to see. Hôtel is absolutely quiet without boats noises. services iare standard.

Perfect place to spend a holiday

Location, balcony, comfortable beds
The staff at Amata were lovely and super attentive to our needs. The room was very clean, but there was not enough hot water to take a decent shower. The restaurant had a nice happy hour, but they were very picky about having perfect US dollars to pay with. The rooms had fantastic balconies and were a lovely place to relax.

Very nice and pleasant hotel on the famous lake

The Hotel is well located for the Inle lake boat trips. The staff is exellent, friendly and helpful. Good landscape design on the hotel territory.
The stay in the Amata Garden Resort was a very good experience. The hotel is located not far from major Inle Lake attractions, it saves time for the sightseeing boat trip. The food was also good both asian and european.Rooms are pretty comfortable, especially beds and pillows (it is rare in hotels).Superb service from management and staff.

Perfect comfort, quiet place, attentive staff

Amata Group is an expert at creating outstanding resorts for your comfort, dining and rest needs.
It was a great experience. I have stayed at the Amata in Ngapali Beach and that is why I chose the Amata at Inle Lake. I was equally impressed by the courteous staff, the cleanliness and comfort of the hotel. I have no complaints whatsoever. I loved it! The hotel is on the east side of the lake which is a less developed area. True, it is far away from the main town, but it is equally accessible to the sites. There is a main road that connects it to the airport.

very polite and friendly stuff, but bad location

check in day was very stressful, I called several days ahead to change guest count and there was no answer on all 3 phone lines. I registered 5 guest with 2 rooms and we have additional 2 guest on a trip. when we got there I asked why phone called wasn't answer for 4 days and no really good reason they have, they told me to take a additional room for extra guess and I did . still refused to add 1 more guest for additional room and quite upset me with how advertise online and different rules when you got there. to get there roads are terrible to drive. no real construction road. it just a lots of hole muddy narrow road.

would be ok at half the cost.

staff, lake view, clean new rooms.
isolated location, about 1 hr by boat, $10 each way. no warning about this in the booking, had to find a place in nyaung shwe to call from to get instructions. the architecture is a travesty, looks like a motel along the freeway. really an eyesore along the lakeshore that should have never have been allowed. there's nothing else in the area, no where to go, and nothing to do. you're stuck eating all meals there. fortunately the food is ok, and there are choices that are not too pricey. get a lake view room if at all possible. the "mountain view" rooms have a view of vast swath of hillside cleared for a bunch of hotels to be built over the next several years. the room is quite nice, minimalist design, of course very clean, as you'd expect for a brand new place. but not very big, poor layout, and cheap construction under the clean white paint - flimsy screen doors, key instead of cardlock, sloppy finish work. my guess is by the time they finish construction and the landscaping matures, the buildings will be falling apart. internet was so slow as to be pretty much useless. many unfinished areas and annoying construction noise. no swimming pool yet, no gym yet. even by overpriced burma standards, the amata is a rip-off.

The future looks bright

Attentive staff, clean rooms, eventually will be a beautiful setting ( under construction)
Our stay was 3 weeks after the opening of this new resort which made for some rough patches. The hotel is pretty far down the lake so once there, you are there until the next day. Until the hotel is more developed that made for a lot of isolation given the gardens weren't finished, the bar was still figuring out menus etc and doors and windows were being installed. This place espouse be wonderful once it is complete. Need work on the Internet...hardly worked.
