Worste checking in ever

Honnestly there are not really good things to say - only a nice view from the pool/terrasse
We had the worste checking in ever - more than 1h with uncompetent staff (more than 30 min for writing 2 vouchers for breakfast !) This is not acceptable ! - food at the restaurant was disgusting, how can you offer Italian dishes when you don't even know what it is. This risotto was just awful and the Sri lankese dish was over cooked The room was just ok for a 5 stars - we are used to 5* and this one is definitely a 2 maximum 3 stars - we had grafities in the wall - how can you even not erase it ?? I had a big discussion with the management - they offered us 1 drink to compensate ... Ok fine ... But we will never ever recommend this hotel !

A Night at the Top of the Hill

The beautify location, the well decorated rooms and the friendly staff
It was very good, in fact one of the best hotels stayed during this trip. My only regret was that we did not book another nite in this hotel. The location was just breathe taking and I think it would be a wonderful place to come back during the cooler months. Just do nothing, enjoy the scenary and maybe get booked on an Ayuvedic treatment package to complete the detox and rewind process.

View, Pool, Nature
Terrible to say the least. I booked a Junior Suite with breakfast for 2 nights. Suite was not what you expect from a 5 star hotel. Very small and outdated room facilities. Some of the lights were burnt out. They never bothered to check whether those lights were working properly. Had a huge window in the living room to see the beautiful view of the Kandy city, but the glass was not cleaned. Had lot of stains. If you are a local, dont even bother going there. They treat the locals very poorly. You can clearly see the double standards towards locals and the foreigners. They treat foreigners as royals and locals like dogs. Terrible customer service. I dont think some of them are even trained. Absolutely poor service. I really dont recommend this hotel to a Sri Lankan. Maybe a foreigner might enjoy it because of the location. But even so, I think this hotel is highly overrated.

Girls Trip

Great View, good service, clean
The hotel is located with a fantastic view. Pool is great but not heated. The rooms are clean and relatively nice but need something to keep the noise out. The rooms have not sound proofed at all. We heard the neighbors as if they were in our room and we had two rooms, you can hear them in the other room as well( guests that spoke loudly all the time and you can hear if they drop anything on the floor). Did not get a good night sleep because they were loud til late night and started again early the next morning. It is a hotel that you must have transportation to get to town.

Amaya hills hotel review

Food, Environment, Room decoration
Nice hotel with good mountain view. The location is not optimal though as you'll need a tutuk to go to Kandy
