The staff
The food service
I was very disappointed with the service at the hotel. It started as soon as I walked in the door. The check in counter wasn't not busy one of the clerks were with a guest and the other was texting and smiling away. As she proceeded to or her finger up and tell me to wait. I'm sorry but my business is a little more important then her text message. Luckily the other clerk working was finished up with her guest and greeted me with a smile, she was nice and professional! She was sincere and her bubbly personality definitely made up for the lack of respect and customer service I received from the other girl. the room wasn't overally clean, there was hair in the tub and stuck to the door hinges and the toilette was black all down the side. We order room service the guy was extremely awesome! During check out we were waiting for our deposit back which took a while but the hotel clerk again I believe was super helpful and paitent. We weren't totally satisfied with our stay considering the lack of customer service and cleanliness of the room.

will not return
a nice swimming pool set-up. Very close to the train station. Lifeguards were really nice. Front staff accomodating. During the day hotel is very clean. The food is well prepared and pretty fast service.
without a car its far from downtown kingston. The pool closed without notification. From the hotel to the train station you cannot walk as there is no sidewalk. which made it unsafe with two young children. Had to pay a taxi driver 5$ to get us in a 2 minutes ride. Parties on all floors because of lacrosse and karate competition. Not for a quiet family getaway. Next morning the hotel was a mess.
People were drinking in the walkway (corridor) and told us that we should go around because we were on their territory. We felt a bit uncomfortable as we have a 3 and 5 year old. The hotel was a mess the next morning with empty beer cans and bottles in the stairway. Pizza boxes everywhere. I guess you just need to add more surveillance without spoiling people's party. We went for a family getaway without knowing we would be in party central. The lifeguards seemed overwhelmed with all the children everywhere and no parents to monitor their own children. I feel bad for them. Overall the hotel is beaufiful but its definetely just for people in competition and are looking for a good time in groups. Please let people know that before they book their weekend. Thank you.
