The most filthy room I've ever encountered

Simply put, the stay at Ambassador has been the worst hotel experience in my life. I stayed for one night with my friend. 1. Leftover food in the fridge when we arrived There were left over food in the fridge. We first thought that the maid forgot to clean the fridge. But it turned out that one of the staff put his own food temporarily and forgot to take it out before we arrived. Not only was the food left there, but the fridge itself was filthy. 2. No shower towels When I was about to take a shower, I've discovered that there were no towels in the bathroom (including hand towels). I first called "0" on the phone (I believe it was a shortcut for "Operator"), and the guy on the phone told me to call another number (I think it was "5", which was room service). We got the towels shortly after the phone call, but felt somewhat being ripped off tipping the guy who brought the towels. 3. Hairs everywhere There were hairs everywhere in the edges of the wall. I'm not sure whether the maid was in a rush or he/she just didn't do the job properly, but there are some serious issues with keeping standards at this hotel. In conclusion, avoid this hotel at all cost when you're visiting Bangkok.

Good place to stay

Location away from the main drag yet it is very accessible to BTS
Staffs were very helpful. Please visit the shops within the Hotel. There are some really great tailored shops there. My room was very large and quiet, even though it was close to the lift. I would return to this hotel again.

Nice, but old.

Location, value for money
Nice, but old hotel. Old gym and no kids pool. Nice breakfast and location.

old fashioned - needs a face lift to the room

grandeur of facilities. breakfast diningroom,
The lobby and all areas in the hotel outside the rooms is class 1 rating. Large marble facilities. Dining room was good, staff very efficient and helpful. Front desk a bit hard to follow because of limited english with many of the staff. The rooms are tired and need updating. That goes for the beds, shower heads, closets, etc. The hotel location is in the red light district of Bangkok. Almost any area along Sukhumvit Rd from # 1 to 25 is Red light. Counted 12 massage businesses within 50 feet of the hotel. Could get a prostitute easily within 50 feet of the hotel. Very seedy area. This whole part of the city is low life.

Dirty shabby rooms rock hard bed

The guy cleaning my room was a nice guy, chatted with him a few times.big pool
I've stayed here before for a weekend and the room was nice, it now turns out i think i had a redecorated room, as this time i changed rooms because the bed was like sleeping on the floor. The second room the bed was the same and the air con was noisey and not very effective. The bathroom also flooded everytime you used the shower. The drains were slow the clear and the bedding was stained most days. Also stained were the seats. No way would i stay here again. Very disappointed by the drop in standards in only 4 months, for the money there are plenty of better hotels, and if i hadn't already prepaid then i would have changed hotels
