About my recent Stay
Firstly may I give the positives and these are the staff and the location. Both of which I would rate highly. The negatives : the wi-fi signal in the Superior wing was just about non-existent and when I ran my computer diagnostics it reported too busy and weak signal. However, this paled into insignificance to the major problem for this hotel if you are a Westerner and that is it seems to now mainly cater to Tourists from the Indian subcontinent on short stay coach tours. As such their loud, shouted conversations echoed along corridors well into the early hours, doors slamming throughout and children running about the corridors like it was a creche. Sleep became a premium and my Thai girlfriend said she could not visit without being the object of unwanted attention from certain quarters for want of a more polite expression.

A hotel of the average level in Bangkok
The hotel is big but a little bit dated. Though it is located in a busy area with various noise around, and there were a lot of tourists staying at this hotel, it was quiet in the room.

House keeping and Facilities
We complained regarding our rooms to the housekeeping but they did not respond properly. Moreover, the wifi ,which is essential for all tourists, does not function properly.

It's ok for 1 night
The room was quite old also the facilities. The front desk staff seem doesn't care the guests that much, it took a long time for the checking in process even though they're not that busy.

Stayed for 7 nights July 2016
Booked deluxe double. Room was adequate and clean. Neighbours extremely noisy at 2-3am, having arguments/loud discussions outside the rooms. Also found that the 'neighbours' were using the vestibule outside the rooms for smoking purposes (unmistakeable odour of tobacco smoking when exiting the lift). I paid for 7 nights breakfast included. My wife managed breakfast twice and myself only once in that time. We gave up on more than one occasion. One morning I missed as I was taking an early train journey. The only other time we managed breakfast was on the advice of the restaurant manager to go in at 6am. Anything later was an utter waste of time as the large restaurant was nothing but a cattle market and a complete free-for-all that the staff were unable to cope with. Not the way to start a day so my wife and I were compelled to find alternative venues for breakfast, at additional expense. We used the same restaurant one lunchtime and enjoyed an excellent buffet as the majority of the 'guests' obviously ate elsewhere. The restaurant and bar opposite were also quiet in the evenings, as were the alternative restaurants on the ground and upper levels. My advice is that the hotel is ok with many good facilities, but ask for a quiet area if possible and ensure, if the area is non-smoking', that it remains so by informing the desk. Also do not add in breakfast to your booking unless you enjoy fighting over an omellette or croisssant with half the population of India. The vast majority of the guests appear to be from India.
