Pleasant stay

The pool
The room was comfortable, weird shower ended up getting the whole bathroom wet. The pool was a nice feature, but the lobby was crappy and very un-inviting and stuffy. WiFi didn't work in the room, but did at the open air cafe' on the beach. The staff was accommodating and nice. They are building on top of the lobby and the pounding starts at 8am.

Quiet hotel for calm and peace

quiet, calm, relax
It was a 2 night stay here to enjoy the place and indeed we had a very relaxing stay here. The nights welcomed us with clear skies full of stars and peacefulness. I like the room space, alot of space for anple relaxation. However, the place was pretty old and you have to be prepare to the crowing of the cock in the morning as the hotel was situated in front of a village dwelling where they kept chickens. Bring earplugs!

I would definitely recommend this hotel

location near beach, reefs, local scenery
Excellent, just as I was promised and as I expected. Great location, friendly staff, good value

close to the beach

clean room
We had a nice room with balcony. The street is noisy as everywhere else in Bali. But once across the street you are in paradise. Amed is a great place for snorkling and relaxing. Very quit and away from all touristic hassle.

Nice hotel at the beach

location was at the beach, big room, nice staff
We had a pleasant stay at Amed Cafe hotel. The bungalow was very large and almost right at the beach. Hotel has a good restaurant as well and the staff is very friendly.

Pleasant hotel in a good location.

Location in Amed is good and the restaurant is next to the sea.
the amed cafe and hotel is an old hotel much in need of some renovation and modernising. the location is good for visitors to amed and the surrounding area. there is enough parking. there is not always staff at reception or nearby. however, the staff are friendly and informative. our room was large and the bathroom was large too. the mosquito net couldn't be fixed easily. the bath was patched but there was plentiful hot water, if the pressure wasn't great. the staff were always busy cleaning but everything about the hotel seemed untidy and not well looked after. "faded beauty" springs to my mind. however, we all enjoyed our stay there. the restaurant was expensive, the food just average, the breakfast just acceptable and the staff were a little unfriendly.

good location

walking distance to some restaurants
cafe amed is a small and cozy hotel along jalan bunutan. i spent the night with friends. our rooms were cozy and had a nice veranda. the beach is across the street, very quiet and you can snorkel right there. it has a good view of mt. agung especially at sunrise. the only downer is the breakfast, just toasts, jam and egg, no other choice. the snorkelling equipment were a little pricey too. i recommend you try other restos nearby for lunch or dinner, they have home cooked meals. e.g. sama sama bar and restaurant and warung bobo.
Restaurant Tip: Sama Sama Bar and Restaurant. They have grilled seafood and very cheap.

Good friendly hotel.

Nice rooms, and pool.
Excellent rooms. The best are at the top of the stairs. Not good if your elderly.
Restaurant Tip: Food very average.

Great snorkling but noisy road and roosters

Restaurant by the beach, could snorkel right from the beach, peace and quiet at the beach
We had the hotel recommented by some other turists - but we were not as fond of the hotels as they were. The location of the restaurant is beautiful. But the hotel is located on the other side of the road - although there is not much trafic, it was very noisy in our room. As well as the roosters early in the morning. Staff at the restaurant and the hotel were friendly. But we waited at long time before our food was served at the restaurant.
