Clean hotel, but no friendly staff and no wifi
I stayed 2 nights at Armisache villa, and was pleased with the cleanless and confort of the room. However, I did not find the employees working very friendly nor helpful, and the wifi was not working so it was difficult to orgnise my holidays properly. Also, I saw some nice photos of a living room or common area (roof top) when booking the hotel, but it did not seem those were areas where the guest is welcomed.

You get what you pay for.
Location, hotel charge and spacious room.
It is a hotel that has a lot of potential to be good. A couple of things we've experinced was there is no front desk to accommodate you when you arrive late and true to the other reviews that there were a lot of stray dogs in the vicinity. Even in the parking area there were dogs. It was a bummer since we wanted to walk to bag of beans because it was that near. Last thing was room service. We did not try bothering to call since there were no menus inside the room. We assumed there was no food available. Overall, if you are on a budget and need a room to sleep in, this is value for money. Other than that, try another place.

great overnight stay
clean room, quiet place, friendly staff
The owner was very welcoming and accommodating even though we checked-in very late. The room is very clean with tv, mini ref, electric fan and aircon. There is also a private bathroom complete with toiletries and towels. We had a hard time finding this place because it is not familiar to some tricycle drivers and the location shown by waze is not correct. The road to the villa is uncomfortable to pass by because it is very dark and there are a number of dogs wandering outside. Good thing, it is near Bag of Beans. Overall, we had a comfortable stay.

Too noisy
The bag of beans near there and the staff were nice
This villa is a family house with a few guest rooms facing a courtyard. It is in the middle of nowhere and has no view of the lake. The bag of beans restaurant was a saviour, especially in the morning and late at night. The road to the villa is a dirt track on which a number of stray dogs live who bark at each other all through the night and making it very uncomfortable to pass by. The room needed a deep clean, the bathroom wasn't clean and there were ants everywhere. We heard the family's noises in the house through a locked door in our room the first night which was drowned out the second night by other guests' unbelievably loud karaoke in the courtyard. It was supposed to stop at 10pm (we'd been assured by the owner there was a strict curfew in place) but at 10:15pm it was up to me to get out of bed and go to reception. The music ceased but all the merry guests were allowed to remain in the courtyard with chatter, shrieks and loud laughter - right outside our and everybody else's door.. Until 5am!! So much for a curfew. Noise begins again at 6am when the family awakes and makes no effort to keep their voices down in the courtyard and always seemed to drive cars in and out of the yard. Don't stay here if you want the peace a hotel would offer and certainly not on a weekend. The staff were nice, but too nice - enforce the rules around the place!
