Excellent basic stay for cheap

Affordable, no restaurant but had coffee/ tea table, GREAT area!
Great stay, walls are a little thinner than other places but not unbearable, very private and a wicked location block up from Sunday walking street and nice restaurants.

Great location! Cheap & Cheerful

Location, quiet, price
Location is perfect right in the heart of the old town surrounded by little quaint streets with many restaurants, cafe bars and guest houses. The Sunday market is literally at the end of the street. Everything is walking distance. The room of course for the price is basic. The bed however was comfortable with clean linen. The bathroom as in all budget accommodation in Thailand is horrible. Toilet bowl dirty, sink dirty, tiles dirty and absolutely no water pressure on the shower, the water comes out like a slow running tap. The reception was manned by one young girl most of the time as she lives in the property and she literally cannot speak any English. We had a specific question to which she responded 'no rooms' we later realised she answered this to anything asked. The funny thing was the board outside said 1room available. There was sometimes another young lady and she was great and spoke English well and sorted out what we wanted to ask the other girl. The common area is basic with coffee for 10baht and water for 5baht. As with everywhere in Thailand they make a great guesthouse etc then do absolutely no upkeep or maintenance so the property gets old and tired. For the price and location it's good and id stay again because of this.

Good location, clean room, annoying inconvenients

good location, free hot water, no insects
Good: - good location - free hot water (tea and coffee paid) - no insects Bad: - we cannot find anyone at reception at early morning (7:30AM) and waited half an hour - after taking a bath the whole bathroom is wet - no wardrobe, only hooks (but half of them are broken) so difficult to hang clothes - a little noisy because of thin door to the corridor
