Great Location

Great Location
The hotel is near the subway station and walking distance from the broadway theatres. We were lucky enough to be upgraded however when we got to our room, its literally the bed and cabinets. No space for luggage so I wont recommend this if you have huge luggages with you. There is no free wifi also, you have to pay additional fee for those which I think is a downside. My girlfriend & I had to squat to the nearest starbucks in timesquare to get wifi.

Great location, friendly staff, but tiny and noisy

Location, staff, price, and beds
Bed was very soft and comfortable. Located walking distance from everything times square, empire state building , grand central terminal, along with many bars, restaurants, musicals, and gentlemen's clubs... price was better then i hoped for being so close to christmas, but the room was tiny (king bed room standard) only downside they could really look into was the window didn't seal right and let in a lot of street noise and a little bit of the cold.

Good Hotel base in expennsive New York

Central and clean
We found this hotel to be very good value for our money in expensive New York. We were close to Times Square and the two well known atractions noted below
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: Very close to Radio City and Rockerfellow Complex

Loved the Location

Location, Location Location
The room was small, but we didn't spend a lot of time in our room. Location of the hotel was excellent, room was small, but not impossibly so, hotel was clean and staff provided great service.
Restaurant Tip: Tonic bar provides good food and service, some nights were very busy, but a great sports bar, place for a drink or a meal with friends.

Absolutely Horrible experience

i had the worst experience at the amsterdam court hotel. there were so many things that went wrong, i don't know where to begin. upon checking in, it took 30 minutes for our luggage to be dropped off at our room. while waiting for our luggage, the front desk had assigned our room to another guest and the guest walked into our room using a front desk key. so essentially we were both checked in under the same room. nightmare. had to go get our room keys changed out. then about 30 minutes after that when trying to take a shower, the shower was broken and made a horrible loud drilling noise. they had to send an engineer up to the room to fix it. that took a good 20 minutes. the shower also didnt drain, so you had to stand in calf deep dirty water. lets see, the a/c didnt work so we had to open the window. but when opening the window, it wouldnt stay up, so we had to prop it with the ice bucket. the following day, the main elevator was broken in the hotel. that night, room service had not left any wash cloths in the bathroom and after 30 minutes and calling 3 times to request them, ended up showering with a hand towel. also in the same night, while trying to prop the window open on the ice bucket, the window pane came off of the window. disaster!! after complaining to the manager on our check out day, she offered us a discounted stay in a 'deluxe' room next time we were in nyc to show us that they can do it right. ha! i will never stay there again

Great location but small room

very short walking distance to major attrations; friendly and helpful staff, attentive to customers' needs; next to a 24-hr convenience store; located in the middle of 2 subways
It was adequate with a comfy bed. The room given was not as spacious but it was very clean. The reception lady was friendly and always ready to assist with any of our queries. Its great location is definitely a plus point, less than 3 minutes walk to Times Square, a min walk to 2 different Subways and few steps from a 24-hour convenience store / supermarket.

Waste of Money

Not like at all
Rooms in hotel are supersmall. There is only bed in room, which is not suitable for money u spend. Staff performance is so so. I had problem with phone in room and nobody came to repair that even I asked them 3 times. Some standard things like taxi call or luguage store are working ok. Better to choose some other hotel in area, even if will be slidly more expencive.
Restaurant Tip: There is nice small coffee shop just few steps left from hotel doors.. Nice food for good price.

Great location

Location and friendly staff
overall experience satisfactory. the location was great! about a 5 mins. walk to time square and many great restaurants and shopping. the staff was very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. the room was very small!!!!! the particular room i was in was very noisy. the window mounted ac unit was not properly sealed and at night you hear the buildings next door roof mounted machines clankings. maybe other rooms not facing that direction would be less noisy. the unit i stayed in was #502. but overall satisfactory.
Restaurant Tip: Great night life. Great restaurants, bars, clubs, and shopping very near. Great locations for all your needs.
