Loved the river literally underneath us.

Price for location and river view
We enjoyed the rains and high river water level rippingbunder out canti-levered room over the river bank. Short walk to the pnice public hot spring pools.

Quite nice in a faded glory sort of way

It was next to the hot spring, cheap enough and clean
It was OK. This is a budget sort of place but pleasant. The rooms could have been a little nicer. They could have had a fridge and the plumbing was noisy. Its certainly not luxurious but not grim either. If you get it for around 1200 Baht a night then you won't feel cheated. The free tea and coffee next to the swings were a nice touch but you wouldn't really describe it as a resort. There's some decent restaurants across the road and the hot springs are a short walk up the hill. The wifi worked well. It could do with just a bit better furniture, bedding and facilities to raise up the standard a bit...then it would be a great place to stay

Good. But in the past allready

Goodl location - 2 min from hot spring, remarkable river view room, pets allowed
It seems to be nice place, but somewhere in the Past. The condition is quite threadbare now. The stuff makes his best but 1500 baht for very very basic room with almost nothing inside - too much. Moreover you will wait for breaksfast long. Anyways I with to the Thansila all the best, but they should do something, may be find investments or something...

overall a good place to stay

The best 3 things were the location(within walking distance to the hotspring), staff, and the hotel layout.
My room had a lot of ants that crawled everywhere. It was hard to open/close my door. I also ordered the river view, but my view was of the roof. Overall I liked this place, though I wished it was a little cheaper.

Nice but old

price , river view & design
The hotel is near the hot spring ,the room design is nice with a river view but opposite the river is a steel with many people walking to the hot spring and is able to see directly into the room , the air-con is very old and need to be change , we have to wait 10min for the air-con to be start working . Ranong is a out of the world place with nothing much to do see or buy .

First impressions are great, then the cracks show.

River view, rustic style,
What should have been a great stay was marred by little irritations. My door was difficult and noisy to open as it scraped the floor. Strange squeaking and whirring noises were coming from the a/c, but it made it through the night without falling to pieces. The curtains were difficult to draw, I was having to stand on a chair. The streetlights from across the river were very intrusive. I was told breakfast began at 7am but no food appeared till 8am, not good if you have a bus to catch. Paid B1500 through Agoda, could have paid B900 for the same room if I just turned up!

looks good from the "outside"

looked like a cute interesting boutique hotel from the "outside"
the location is not far from the bus station and the airport. however was disappointed about the hotel room. from the outside and the pictures on agoda it looked like a cute interesting boutique hotel. the room though, wasn't that nice. the "river view room" was not even really a "river" view... the bed was uncomfortable with some stains, which is not cool. and so was the towels as well, so we ended up using our own towels that we brought. the bathroom was tiny with shower water pressure quite low. breakfast wasn't even really good, i wish they cooked something better. once we came outside of the room it was alright. So no, don't think we will go back there again. Disappointed.
