Charming hotel, great neighborhood, fab location!
LOCATION!, great staff, great neighborhood
The Angel's Home Hotel is a lovely hotel that served as the perfect base for me on my weekend in Istanbul and I'll very likely book this place again for future trips to Istanbul. Highlights: - Great location. 5 mins walk to the Hagia Sofia, the Blue Mosque. 10 mins walk to Sultanahmet tram stop, which will be your main transportation line to go everywhere else. 2 tram stops to the Grand Bazaar. Plenty of museums, attractions, restaurants and hammams in the area, within walking distance. - Charmingly neighbourhood. Unlike Taksim/Beyoglu, Sultanahmet is peaceful at night but sufficiently supplied with 24-hour kebab shops and mini-marts to satisfy late night munchies. - Room was clean, large bed, nice new bathroom. Shampoo & bath gel supplied in dispensers, toiletries with basics provided. - Breakfast had variety and was generous for a small hotel. The breakfast room seats 20-25, but the rooftop views of the sea and the Blue Mosque are awesome. - Staff & service was efficient, booking and check-out was easy. They kindly let me to store my luggage at the hotel between my early morning checkout and midnight flight. - The airport shuttle service (EUR10-15) from both Ataturk and Sabiha Gokcen can be easily arranged, door-to-door, hotel staff will helpfully arrange bookings & can advise on schedule options. Items to note: - One small annoyance was that I could hear footsteps and noise from the room above quite clearly. (I think I was placed in the older wing; my room was right over the reception). It was ok for me but guests sensitive to noise might want to take note. - The trip up to the breakfast room on the rooftop is not the easiest. You have to climb up stairs to the 3rd floor (no elevators), then climb up a small, steep flight of stairs to the terrace. This be difficult for elderly, handicapped or large guests. (It feels almost like trying to climb into an attic, although once you get to the breakfast room and terrace, everything is just great.)

Fantastic! Well worth the money spent
LOCATION!!! Comfort and foooooood
Where do I start? Lovely greeting upon arrival. Bags taken to our room. Nice cosy room that was warm and well equipped. Comfortable bed and lovely shower. Location is superb! It is a short walk from the tram line and the Blue mosque. When you go for your free breakfast - you are blessed with the most beautiful view of the blue mosque and surrounding area. The breakfast is lovely! The two ladies that run that are lovely! They put on a nice spread and make a special little toasted cheese thing that they personally go round and offer to their guests. Nothing to fault with this hotel. Loved it.

tasteful breakfast and friendly staff
many choices of breakfast, good location, helpful and friendly staff
It is situated near the main attractions, but it is quite difficult to find even the taxi driver. It is very nice to see the sunrise in the terrace. The wooden floor is so thin that in the morning you will hear many people walking on the terrace. It is a bit noisy.

The apartment location was no good
-
Our accommodation was about 5 minutes walk from the Angel"s hotel. However the location was close to tap palace and blue mosque, but view from our apartment was very disappointed. The room windows could note be open because of some disturbing smell. Walking for breakfast in cold morning was not comfortable at all. The photo are available for your reference if you are interested.

helpfull, satff on what to see and the breakfasts
staff, food and terrace with an a mazing view
The staff here very helpful on arrival on where to go and places to see, and marked the spots on a map provided for us.The room we stayed at was 108 and it was more like an attic room with the roof being on an a angle so you couldn't stand up on one side of the room and being that my husband is over 6 feet it was a slight issue but we were only there for two nights and ended up hardly being there in the day.The bathroom is also very small as is the bedroom as well but are clean .I would still recommend to stay here but would definitely opt for a room where you can walk and stand .Breakfast was amazing , so many things to choose from , heaps of fruit , different type of breads, boiled , omelette eggs and so much more. The hotel is very close too all major attractions , and around the corner is where backpackers stay so if you wanted to you could go up what I call backpackers lane n grab a few drinks and stay up late or just chill

Great base for key attractions.
Centrally located for key sightseeing locations, but in quieter street. Friendly helpful staff with good English.
We were warmly greeted on arrival and given a useful map and quick run-down of the key places to visit - no vested interests or pushing costly trips, just solid helpful information. We had booked the least cost standard room and were placed on the ground floor at the back in a moderate sized room. Nonetheless it was comfortable and totally adequate for what we wanted - a base to visit the historic city. It was less than five minutes walk to Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace and Basilica Cistern to name just the top attractions. Airport shuttle back to the airport was convenient and well organised by hotel. We'd organised our own taxi to the hotel which was also convenient but the driver tried to cheat us by taking a detour. Make sure your taxi sticks to the coast road (Kennedy Avenue) all the way and doesn't cut inland to "avoid the traffic" - we just got stuck in even worse jams in the area west of the old city. This had nothing to do with the hotel who were helpful in sorting out the taxi driver's demand for lots of money. Would we use this hotel again rather than one of the many others in the same vicinity? Yes, definitely.
