Great place to visit. Must visit place when in North Western Highlands.
Ang Khang Nature Resort is always a well maintained hotel amongst nature. My 4th visit. Unfortunately during off peak season the gardens and surrounding are not upkept.

Great location
Staffs are very nice & supportive. Good location that you can just walk to Yunnan market and other attractions by yourself. Only 30 mins driving to Norlae area and tea farm.

Not sure what I was missing
Booked a trip just for two days.. Not really much to do. After we went to the royal agricutlual station (which was all about an hour tops) nothing more to see.. To get up the mountain from the bus station was 800 baht (to get back down was 700 baht). If you wanted to get to know fang, this wasn't the place to do it. Once you are up that mountain you are not coming down, and once I got up there didn't see anythkng to do. I did meet a monk at one of the local temples and that experience was special and he allowed us to eat peaches fresh off the tree which was also special. As far as the hotel, that was very far from special.. The bed was big. But the room was outdated, no a/c and just didn't feel very accommodating. When asking the staff how to get around they provided bicycles free of garage.. But we are on MOUNTAIN.. I am not a sping chicken anymore and after thirty minutes of hills and valleys, we had to turn back, and my pants got caught in the chain.. We asked for suggestion number two and they had a motorbike to rent for 500 baht a day! Most expensive i ever paid in Thailand (and I have been all over). I will say the hotel staff was nice (they provided me with a DVD player upon request) and the restaurant (because it was not crowded) provided good service And the food was good.. All in all I can't say the hotel was a total bust.. It would have been better if there was more to do.. Maybe I just came at the wrong time of year..

A bit overpriced
A bit overpriced, though the location is good. Breakfast varieties are expected to be better. Staff is friendly and willing to service. Overall is satisfactory.
